But why did no one contact me back during November? That's my biggest question and concern. You do know this entire thing could have been averted with 1 simple message back then. Bizarre that it was felt it was best to keep me out of any conversation going on in the A league thread. @TREFF you as commish could have told me to change it or anyone else in the MBBRL. Any of the more outspoken against me could have messaged me so it's not all on treff's plate. Instead of getting blindsided with everything the way I was. Even to the point that I find out Cheff quit doing our B league updates because of this. Crazy how this snowballed into something huge because we didn't tackle it at the start.

Again you misunderstand. I said it was part of the reason. I had just gone through the stuff with Barilko a second time around, and lo and behold, it's time to do a Week 9 recap. I decided enough was enough.

Yeah its just kinda weird to me. I don't remember this topic ever being brought up on the B league thread. Even if there was an issue, I feel like it should have been either discussed in the B league thread or whoever had an issue with what Shady did maybe should have sent him a PM at the time it took place. All of this would have been avoided

Couple of reasons why...both of which I have already mentioned, but for whatever reason, you missed.

#1..it was right here, in this very thread. Everything was public, everything available to you, in the main thread, about a league you belong to, whose only requirement is to be active in the board..it was assumed by me that you'd seen it and chose to not comment Nothing was done secretly.
#2. Since there was no written rule, no clear violation, we all determined there was nothing to be done about it other than make sure we addressed it in the offseason. All the evidence, as you call it, was already available to us, we all knew your reasoning, the whole situation, there was no need. And, since there was no rule that existed to be broken,therefore no punishment no suspension, no nothing... why would we bother restarting the argument by bringing you in on it after the fact? There were already enough loud voices in the room and we'd finally gotten over it. Everyone dropped it, until it needed to be discussed again as part of the ongoing rule clarification/whatever process we're in.

So that's why I never felt the need to bring you in on it

Had I pm'ed him back in November, which would've been me being rogue commissioner acting on his own, sure he would've probably gotten the message, probably won't ever do it again.

But, now, the way it went down, everyones eyes are now open that this isn't always Sesame Street or the Land of Oz..stinky stuff happens here too, and we need to deal with

Obviously now I know I erred but I assumed the B League thread was for that league and the MBBRL thread was for the A league. Until recently I never thought I was part of that discussion so I could see how something could easily be missed by a B Leaguer in that thread.

With that said, a rule needs to be put in place to prevent what Shady did. He has already stated that he would abide by it so I think that should end the issue before things continue to snowball. Everyone involved in this issue is a valued member of the leagues and we need to move forward together. Treff can come off hard at times but I also think he has good intentions most of the time and things are just taken personally because he doesn't sugarcoat his posts nor should he if he doesn't want to do so, I am of a similar cut of cloth in that respect.

As for the Dynasty 1 league I think we can also move forward as a plan was already set forth I believe.

Yeah honestly I never really visit this thread. Only time I really came on this thread was after the draft and to read recaps from @canesandfinsfanatic . I really was under the impression that any issues with something in the B league would take place on that thread.

Like many have said I didn't feel like A league thread was for me. I kept in my lane and posted only in my B league thread. It's been pointed out that we misunderstood and we were always welcome to post in A league. I kind of felt that way because A league doesn't really post in our thread. I don't think it's rogue to just talk to someone about a possible problem. Something that some people were upset about. That's your job smooth things over before it comes to something like this. Again..you did the deed, not me, I did not put you in any situation..there would be no situation if you hadn't done what you did...so stop deflecting this onto me.

If that post came off as a dig I apologize. It's frustration coming from the fact that our one requirement to be part of this league has been overlooked, by virtually everyone, myself included. Everyone associated with a MBBRL should be aware of the main thread..at least somewhat. I assumed too much, and again, for that I apologize, but it is what it is.


And like I had mentioned. Had I pm'ed you, sure, between the two of us, yeah, this might have been fixed, but the league would still be rolling along in blissful ignorance, waiting for it to happen with someone else again. Now it'll be completely fixed, with no more drama down the road, for anyone

My gosh, lets vote on that and get it out of the way. I don't think there needs to be any further discussion, just vote and get it over with. Proposed:
1. League setting will be changed to 1 for every starting position. (The ESPN system will police)
2. League setting will be changed to 5 bench spots maximum. (Likewise, the ESPN system will police)

Then let's please move on with more solutions. .....

I can't imagine we actually need a vote on this one. Anyone who would actually cast a vote that we shouldn't have legal lineups every week, probably doesn't belong in the league.
@averagejoe ..go ahead and add this one, along with T's aforementioned "made every effort" clause in regards to injury issues...and his respect one another rule as well..seems like a given, but if we're putting things down in writing, let's cover everything

Before anything gets started, please be aware, no one expects anyone to post all over, all the time, every day. Just that we see your faces answering and asking questions, giving advice, commenting in general, especially on posts generated from non mbbrl members. Even if it's just a couple times a week or whatever, and no offseason doesn't count, at least not until around training camps, everyone can take a week deserved break if they so choose, no one will hold it against you.

And please, if you have real life getting in the way, just say so. I can promise you, no matter what it is, at least one of us has gone through it too. You may find good advice for things other than fantasy football. We've gone through job losses, divorces, custody battles, new marriages, new kids, whatever. We're a community, and we're not going to abandon anyone simply because they have stuff going on, we're here to help if you want it.

IMO, that one is clear enough. I don't think we need to set a requirement there. People who are active on the boards are always going to get saved from oblivion unless they violated another rule. If you ghost, you risk your spot. It is as simple as that.

T, agree that establishing some number (which would be the only way to gauge activity) would be almost impossible to fairly establish. Those who are active know who are active, yet it is a criteria and should somehow be considered.
Perhaps activity level is something best reserved as a tiebreaker if, for some reason, the choice of retention between one member or another has to be made. Perhaps it also plays a part in relegation, in the unlikely event of a tie.
