Lefty,

I definitely agree with the consensus regarding Forte vs. Richardson. In any normal league, I think you can draft DRich after 70, and I am not convinced that would be a good value. Assuming Richardson is on the heavy side of the committee, I still might prefer a guy like Ben Tate or Bernard Pierce. I just don't see much upside in that STL committee.

Also, I am normally a Forte hater, but I am hoping he falls to me in my draft this Sunday. I have the 11th pick in a keeper league. Morris and Spiller are the only two top 20 players eligible to be retained and I already have Morris.

I think that Trestman will really boost Forte's value. The possibility of more goal-line touches and greater involvement in the passing game makes him a sure fire top 10 RB IMO. I just don't see any Bears outside of Forte and Marshall being fantasy relevant this year.

Not to put a monkey wrench in everyone's Dwyer conversation, but isn't Isaac Redman Bell's backup?

I'm not interested in either (Dwyer or Redman). I've already seen what they can do (or not do).

You are probably right, but in choosing between RB5s, I will take the one who is backing up a potentially injured rookie over one who is backing up first round stud, Alfred Morris.

BTW, the FF boards here are nowhere near as cluttered as they were back yonder. I think a question like Lefty's can warrant its own thread, because it might be of interest to others who don't want to wade through our league-specific jibber-jabber.

Keeper Question

With the news that Richardson is the starter in STL, I have a question. Who is best value in a one year keeper league (retain in the spot drafted, FA go in Rd 6). Matt Forte (pick 18) or Richardson (FA - pick 66) ?

Forte every day of the week and twice on Sunday. That running back situation in STL is a nightmare, none of them have exactly "won" the job, Richardson got it by default. And besides these might be the same "experts" that had everybody pick up Ronnie Hillman last year when McGahee got hurt only to find out Sunday morning that Knowshon Moreno who hadn't seen the field the whole year was getting the start. Not only did Hillman not start, but he only saw the field for a couple of plays the whole game.

Agree totally Joe. Not touching that situation either way. Not convinced either one is worth picking up.

Don't dismiss Dwyer- He was on my team at the end of last season on my run to the MBBRL title. He is serviceable when needed.

Thinking about earning the right to pick your spot in the draft.

I suggest that whoever has the best breakdown record will get first pick of draft spot, second place will get second, etc. Teams moving would get last picks (as hazing for the newbies for those who move up, and as salt in the wound for those who go down).

We'll have a little draft-spot-selection session before the first pre-season game.

I'll spell out the minor details later on, but as all post-draft rules must be unanimously approved, everybody who likes the idea say "aye."

I like the random draw for draft posotions. But it looks as if I am in the minority.
