How'd the draft go? Don't want to discuss it.

But I'll tell you this much... since I had the 12th spot, right up until draft start, I had convinced myself to go WR-WR and then take my chances on the unproven RB left.

12th pick comes and grab A.J. Green. The first piece of the WR-WR decision in place. And then I thought - AGAINST YOU GUYS?? - this is probably not a very good strategy. So I changed it up and went WR-RB by taking Forte with the 13th.

Though I'm not enthralled with my team. I'm not overly excited about it either. But I am glad that I went WR-RB instead.... because the RB that I was "hoping" would be still there at the 36-37 turn were all gone. GONE I say!!

Glad I didn't want to talk about it.

HaHa! I'm in the same boat, didn't really like drafting out of the 10th spot, however now that the draft is over I'm not down on my teams like I was in the mocks, but I'm also not ready to talk a bunch of smack how I'm going to destroy the league. Definitely lacking in RB depth, took a chance and it backfired on me so we'll see what happens. Should be pretty competitive but that drone team looks tough!

Wow. 18 RBs went in the first 25 picks in the A league. (15 in the B League.)

TK - In the end I went WR/WR with Megatron and Marshall (Forte - my last Tier II guy - disappeared right before my Marshall pick). 11 RBs gone before my #15 pick. Had hopes one of Bell/McFadden/Murray/MJD might come back around at 34... ha ha ha. My RBs are sad, but my WRs are awesome.

I didn't like my draft very much, but I think I have a fighting chance if I can avoid major injury to my injury prone players. Here is the team, picking from the 7 spot:

1- McCoy- Was between McCoy and TRich. I chose Shady because I think he has a higher ceiling if the Eagles O clicks like I think they will. I also think he is more durable, despite last season's issues.
2- Demaryius Thomas- Missed Dez by 1 pick. I like Thomas, but I should have drafted an RB here.
3- MJD- Hated this pick, but I couldn't pass on the value. It was either MJD or Miller who went 1 pick later.
4- Brady- Impulsive pick here. 6 point TD passes and he appears dialed in. His receivers will be fine.
5- Garcon- High upside if he stays healthy
6- D. Williams- Very few RBs to choose from at this point. Bye week filler.
7- TY Hilton- Stud. He or Tate will be my flex play week 1.
8- Bryce Brown- Had to handcuff Shady
9- Golden Tate- Breakout WR. Great value here IMO.
10- Jordan Cameron- Little bit of a reach, but I think Cameron will be very good. Hopefully I am right.
11- Mike Vick- Upside galore. If he breaks out like I think he might, I will have a nice trade chip.
12- Bucs DST- good week 1 match-up vs. the Jets.
13- Blair Walsh- I prefer Gostkowski, but with the QB and TE already on bye in week 10, I went this route. Walsh was the first kicker selected.
14- Roy Helu- Could be an occasional flex play with his 3rd down role.

I don't hate it, but I certainly don't like it. I am thinking middle of the pack with a chance at the playoffs, but an equal chance at demotion. I will have to manage very well.

Just absolutely brutal..possibly my worst draft..ever
Those 18 Rb's in the first 25?? I got one of 'em, by the time I came around in the second, the picking were so slim, that it made no sense to reach for a 2nd RB..none whatsoever

From the #3 hole, which you should make every effort to trade out of this year..
QB Cam Newton
RB Charles
RB Montee Ball
WR Julius Jones
WR R. Cobb
flex Ben Tate/Isiah Pead/Ryan Broyles/B. Pierce/Eifert
TE Witten
DST Denver
K Hauschka

bench
QB Schuab
RB Pead
RB Pierce
WR Broyles
TE Eiffert

need an awful lot of things to happen perfectly to even have a shot this year..not even in the slightest bit happy with this collection of rubbish.

BTW, an assist goes to TKO, who sniped at least five of my picks and had me effed up the ENTIRE draft..thanks buddy!

I'd like to see your roster if you get time, I went RB/WR; reached for my RB2 (according to your rankings and missed out on Bell as I took a gamble he'd be there with my next pick). I've got very min. RB depth as well, here's my team:

QB: Matt Ryan
RB: LeSean McCoy
RB: Lamar Miller
WR: AJ Green
WR: Mike Williams
TE: Tony Gonzalez
Flex: Chris Ivory
Def: Bengals
K: Justin Tucker

WR: Steve Johnson
WR: Chris Givens
WR: Vincent Brown
RB: Zac Stacy
QB: Josh Freeman

Started another thread just for the teams

Well the only good thing about drafting in the 1 hole was AP and a chance at some lower tier RB's at the 2-3 turn. Here it is................btw, I REALLY wanted DThomas at 24.

QB Kaps
RB Peterson
RB Gore
WR Nicks (still looking for those "oodles" of great WR's that I should have gotten here)
WR SSmith
Flex Bell
K Bullock
D Rams

Bench
RB Ingram
RB Reece
RB Franklin (Mr. Irrelevent)
WR TAustin (Really wish I would have waited and grabbed Givens)
WR Anquan Boldin

Don't hate it but I rather would have drafted 5-8. Should win some games and be competetive. At least this year I don't see me leaving a million points on the bench.

Harold - sorry, was in the A-league draft. I did see you made it in eventually. How many rounds did you miss?

5 rounds, but the auto picks were fine. I had to actual call ESPN to get the draft to launch for me, which was weird because on our Seahawks draft which was also on ESPN I had no trouble.

My trouble dates back to when I went full bore promoting Sportshoopla on ESPN, get baned for promoting, get another account and try to be more careful get restricted and then reinstated, get restricted again, start another account, and so on and so forth. All that promoting really paid off as almost the entire ESPN Seahawk board has migrated to SportsHoopla.

Right now I'm having trouble getting ESPN FF to load at all, but I think that's just a temp. problem.

OK so here is what the team of 55 experts think. I think they can kiss my ass..............can't get it to format right but it is in order. Good news is if I use my cheatsheet instead of the 55 "experts" I have the best team, which means nothing except I finally (almost) stayed true to my rankings. This is total team, I'll post starters and benches and if you guys want I'll do the reaches and stuff too. I know, who cares..........................lol.

Ana, did you get that "tool" from the Fantasy Pros site? Because they have a similar tool. In fact, I used the "draft simulation" (free) program they have to try various strategies in preparation for yesterday (fail).

Anyway, they didn't like any of my drafted teams. My bench always seemed to score well, but my starters were always in the bottom half.

So I did a test - a simulated draft where I exclusively used ALL of the THEIR recommended picks. And even after doing it their way, I still was not the best team. My take of it all - you wasted $15 my friend. Sorry.

Posted my team and comments on the other thread but let me say this - after many mock drafts from the 9 slot, there were none that even came close to what occurred in MBBRL. Albeit, all drafts are different. RB's were always premium but wow. ..... a number of surprises - at least by my rankings, guess we will see how it all pans out.

Lol................never bought it for the "bells and Whistles", bought it for the editor............not having to type 250 names, teams and bye weeks worked for me. I just posted that other stuff for giggles.

I only do mocks any more to make sure the interface works on my system. Either you're facing lots of auto-picks (especially from the mid-rounds on) or people trying out theories like "What happens if I take Graham first overall?"

For me, drafting WR that are not consensus (or just about) top 10 guys is not worth it in the 3-6 rounds. And it payed off, as I got Decker in the 7th. Although I agree he's unlikely to match his 13 TD last year that I assume most of you believe, I do think he's in the same sentence as any receivers taken after the back of the 4th (Amendola and Nicks) to where I got him. So, hopefully my panic pick of Lacy, and my risky "reach" of Bradshaw in the 4th and 5th pan out.

And taking 4 RB in the first 5 rounds made for some fun quotes from you folks!
