B-League Quick Report (à la Joe)
Trudem sent Chef to boil his bottom, 113-111
Smitty unclogged his nose at Harold, 132-124
Milk waved his privates at OBX's auntie, 115-94
Micro burst his pimples at BK, 128-117
TK made castanets of Steeler's testicles, 89-32
and Shady farted in Foot's general direction, 132-78
Standings
And a few observations...
OBX and Monkey can both be eliminated from playoff contention this week. OBX has to win... Monkey already needs a win and help.
Shady has won four straight to get into the hunt at 4-4. Apparently when he arrived he stole Lefty's mojo, who has now lost four straight after winning his first four.
Micro is tearing it up again at 6-2 after the leading the B league with 10 wins last year but getting knocked out of A-league contention by wild-card and eventual champ Barilko.
Joe is on the cusp of a sixth win; believe it or not that will be a new personal best: Joe has gone 5-9 every year.
Sam is on the cusp of a landmark 30th MBBRL A-League regular-season win; he'll be the first to reach that milestone if he can get past Ram this week. (Lefty is not far behind, with 28 wins.)
Relegation Derby:
Monkey leads with a power ranking of 3
TKO holds down the next spot at 7.5
Lefty (what are you doing here, Lefty?) is on deck with 10.5
DilWuff, who seemed doomed to relegation a few short weeks ago, seems to be getting clear at 12 after throwing down a season-high 154 (as another Mr. White once said, "I am not in danger, Skyler. I am the danger.")
Moving Up:
Breakdown Race (the Golden Ticket)
Smitty: 60-26-2
Micro: 58-30-0
Milk: 52-35-1
Top Seed (if the Breakdown Winner is also the SB champ)
Smitty: 7-1-0
Micro: 6-2 (868 PF)
Milk: 6-2 (791 PF)
Chef: 6-2 (790 PF)
...and on to Week 9!
