Now that would shock me.

Maybe we should make a special rule that defensive players are eligible at QB to help foot out. They would not get points for anything they do defensively though. TDs only.

tlance and everyone else? I know this has nothing to do with the suicide league but how would you guys rank the top 5 IDP rookies when you get a minute?

This is off the cuff (cause I'm still ranking offensive players), but here's my top 5 as of today:

1) Clowney - HOU (DT) I think offensive lines will have their hands full blocking both Watt and Clowney. And I'm guessing that the Texans D will be on the field a lot.
2) Aaron Donald - STL (DT) Another cog in a decent defense. (Keep in mind that D-lineman have to be really really good to make a significant fantasy impact.
3) Mack - OAK (LB) If his motor runs as much as the analysts say, he'll be on the field enough to make tackles.
4) Barr - MIN (LB) Ditto.
5) Moseley - BAL (LB) Even if he plays sparingly, his presence on an aging D should give him the ability to rack up tackles.

Excellent analysis Joe and I love and agree with the Aaron Donald pick. It's awesome that you singled him out because I was borderline wondering if I liked him even more than Clowney but thought it was a little nuts. In our league we start 1 DL 2 DEs and since Clowney is listed as a OLB his value may be lessened a bit. (would like your thoughts on that) and DLs don't do crap except for Geno Atkins. I think I can get Donald in the 4th round but now i am wondering if I should grab with my second rounder 5th pick. Dont have a third rounder or i would target him there. Was gonna go Watkins with the number 1 overall pick which i traded for and I have the 9th overall which I was gonna draft Clowney.
