Ump made the right call after review... deflecting the ball out of bounds while you're in bound is still a fair ball. That one was on Gamel..: need to catch that

I don't understand what Blower was so confused about by saying "it's interesting to see the call" -- that was no difference than an 1B or 3B deflecting the ball out of bounds after it crossed the bag in fair territory.

i have no problem with the call in this case, but it'll be a bigger issue when something like that happens on a ball hit more shallow that an infielder or outfield gets their glove on.

I agree... shallow plays will be an issue should this happen again, because the league would need to come up with a rule for such thing. Where do you draw the line between a double and single?

This team is getting killed by the injury bug. It's amazing they're not that far off of .500 baseball.

They're going to find a way to lose this game and burn out all of their pen to boot. Two more going on injury (Well at least the second one looked that way) and now they have to start using guys they had slated to start games later this weekend.
