Can somebody explain to me why we have low averages in between high average hitters in our lineup? I've been watching the Mariners (and baseball) for over 25 years, and have always wondered why a manager will stick with a struggling hitter in his natural spot when all it does is kill an type of rally. Last night for example, Motter gets the nod after sitting a few games and ends up in front of Gamel (who has been on fire) yet behind Valencia (who's been garbage until recently). I get having someone with speed and the ability of getting on base at the end of lineup so our leadoff hitter can produce runs, but to me all we are doing is allowing gaps that kill momentum on a nightly basis. The back end of our lineup has been mis managed all year in my opinion, but curious if theres a viable reason why this continues?

Is Scott Servais reading our board? Valencia scratched, and Motter/Heredia to now follow Seager. That, I can get down with.

Just started watching the game (recorded) and saw Gamel's throw allowing runner to go to 2B. It just shows time and time again that their fundamentals are sad. I see it almost each game something like this happen when it should not. Ug!!!

Ruiz just watched 3 strikes right down the middle with nothing on them.

They got 8 runs yesterday. I think by team rule they aren't allowed to hit two days in a row right?
