Nieves is 3 for 4 and between he and Blanco, the two have accounted for a significant chunk of today's offense.

Left another runner on base was stranded and Nieves strikes out. More of the same shit.

Heater boy blows a slider by the batter for three-in-a-row strike-outs. I wish our offense was as prolific.

Rollins strikes out. I guess since he scored a couple of runs earlier, he's done for the day.

I hope Papelbon does serve up another base hit or worse, a HR.

Papelbon nails 'em and we take two of three for the Mariners. The bullpen had 9 Ks. Hamels gets the win. On we go at 56-71.

There is talk that Burnett is hinting at retirement after the season. That would be a relief! We are off tomorrow and St. Louis comes to town on Friday. More losing in store.

Super relief pitching by Phils today to get Hamels' 7th win. We get 2 of 3 from Seattle. Wish we could do the same against STL this weekend.

Ryno is full of crap. He said that Ruf will only start against left handed pitchers because he needs to improve in that area. he already hits well against right handed pitchers. Also he will use him as a pinch hitter against lefties. What is wrong with Ryno? If he hits righties then why not use him as such? just another directive passed down from Amaro because he will continue to block Ruf from playing full time. There is mental illness and stupidity in this organization. What is most aggravating is the fact that they are paid well to screw things up!

The bolded sentence is the most aggravating as you stated. Hell, I could put together a better team and managerial staff and save the owner gobs of money. Brain-dead is a complete dumbfounded idiot who doesn't have a clue about what he is doing. All he is doing is spending money. What a joke.

When Ruf was up in 2013 he went 48/182, .269, vs RHP, and 13/69, .188 vs LHP. But this year he's the opposite, only 2/18, .111 vs RHP, and 9/25, .360 vs LHP. I guess this is why he sits Ruf against RHP. But I'm thinking that Ruf might improve against RHP if he played more, like in 2013. Brown is basically .220 vs both sides.

Mostly all of his at bats against righties were pinch hitting roles. Let him start about 14 games in a row and this will average out. IMO.

Like Asche, Ruf needs more consistent playing time and both of you will see a better team and a better Ruf. Sit Howard more often and play Ruf at first. We are a better team with Ruf and Sizemore in there and Brown should sit or trade his ass.
