@tomodach10 Ingram still inconsistent? He had a really good game last night along with James and we rallied from a 19 point deficit.

Why would only one game indicate a player is no longer inconsistent? I don't understand why you keep posting this nonsense. Most Laker fans, except you, can see he has been inconsistent, but we all hope it changes. I see some people just like to argue even though it is pointless. No problem, if he shoots 2-12, you can bet I won't be posting Na Na Na Na see I told you.

He's averaging 18.3ppg, 6rpg, and 3.8apg in his last 21 games.....that's inconsistent?

He's in his 3rd season and he's improved every season.

Ingram's season numbers are actually comparable to Tatum. Nobody says he's inconsistent.

21 games is what? 1/4 of the season? He needs to do it across an entire season to even begin to shed the inconsistent label.

Then, he needs to do it for multiple seasons to completely shed the label.

There have still been too many games where Ingram kind of disappears.

To be completely fair, some of, maybe most of his issues with inconsistency this year are due to adjusting to playing alongside Lebron.

So....Bill Oram from The Athletic was just on The Dan Patrick Show and they came up with an interesting scenario...

Suppose in the off-season the Lakers and Pels are trying to negotiate a trade for AD, talks aren't progressing and the Lakers come back with 'We'll give you Lebron for AD"?

To be clear, both Oram and Dan Patrick said that the Lakers would never do this because they are too loyal as an organization.

But both agreed that, with the young talent they have, it would set them up for the long term and would likely make them more attractive to guys like Klay or Kawhi.

Maybe. But you can average good numbers and still be inconsistent.

For (an extreme example) if, over a 20 game stretch a player scores 34 points a game in 10 of the games, but doesn't score at all in the other 10...he's averaged 17 points per game, but he wasn't consistent. But, if he scores 17 points in all 20 games, he's consistent.

That's kind of how it's been with Ingram. He'll have games like last night where he scored 27 points, but then he'll turn around and score 8-10 in the next game.

Soooo, apparently DeAndre Jordan could hit the buyout market and the Lakers are interested.

He apparently wants to return to the West Coast with the Lakers or Clips.

Interesting since we have McGee and Chandler.

Melo is still out there.

McGee has been fine, but he's not DeAndre. Same with Chandler, he's been good, but the dude is 75 years old and is starting to get nicked up a bit. He's sat out a couple of games recently because of it.

If they can get DeAndre, they need to.

The need to stay as far away from Melo as they can. Literally anyone they can may be able to get off the buyout market would be better than Melo.

In fact, doing absolutely nothing in the buyout market would be better than getting Melo.

Melo can still put the ball in the basket, but he thinks he's a superstar and expects those kinds of minutes and shots.

Even in a spot-up shooting role he didn't look great consistently with the Rockets. The Lakers would be downgrading their defense by going to him instead of the guys they already have. McGee's flaws on the offensive end are covered by LeBron pretty easily, but he has way too many defensive mental lapses for someone who's specialty is supposed to be defense. I agree with you all around.
