How does it feel to take the money and run? Good luck trying to find a spot on a winning team.

When Torry Smith and Kenny Britt get ridiculous contracts like they did I suspect someone gives a decent dollar amount to Jennings, but he was done before he left GB. Backup at best at this point IMO...

I always wondered why Jennings would leave a winning franchise like Green Bay that has Aaron Rodgers at QB to play for an average Vikings team led by Christian Ponder. I guess he only cares about the money.

GB hasn't won a SB since he left, so in reality, it's no loss. He'd be 4th at best in GB on the depth chart anyway.

He left a perennial contender that has won the division every year, is coming off of an NFC title game appearance with arguably the best QB in the game to go to the shit storm that is the Vikings organization with Christian Ponder as his QB and ran his mouth the entire time about how it was such a better situation to be in.....so yeah I would say when it was all said and done it was a loss on his end.

not a Jennings fan, in fact other than one year, he hasnt made a mark in my memory bank.

But, 99% of players, 99.8% of the time, are going to go with the money.

Sick of idiots saying players should take less money. Is it a cool thing to do? Sure. But if you were in there shoes you'd do the same damn thing. Why would you not want to make more money? Seriously… it only makes sense from a fan's perspective to take less.

this is a good point. With Players it is not only about the money, but can they be a starter. He wouldn't be a starter in GB.

I'd say Jennings was pretty smart. His days in the NFL were numbered, he got a big payday to help set him up for life after being a player. Brilliant. Sure fans like to see players go start to finish with a team, but for a player that isn't always the prudent thing to do.

He got $17.8 mil over 2 years, I think he is doing fine.

Most players who aren't in the last stage of their career, should always take the money.

I didn't mind him taking the money offered by the Vikings.

I did mind him running his mouth after he conducted himself with respect and class while in Green Bay.

What ever...he'll play somewhere this year...just don't know where at this point

There's no stupid player for taking money, only stupid front offices willing to pay them ridiculous over inflated contracts (see Suh in Miami).

I think he'd make a good fit in Seattle? They need WR help and his attitude is a perfect match.

If he's willing to sign cheap (to a 1 year prove it deal) I'd like Jennings in a Hawks uni. He'd be good for 800 or so yards on our team, so a 1 year $3-4M deal would be fine.

What are you talking about?

Britt received a two year, 9.125 million contract with 4.3 guaranteed.

Show me where that is ridiculous.
