Per superbelt he played everywhere including some safety. Sounds like he will be the new Will Harris, only good at football

I'm not mad or upset about this signing. The CB room sucked prior to this and for right now is less at sucking than an hour ago, but it still sucks as a whole.

He sucked at football his first three years so maybe he's turned the corner............... back.

Philadelphia Eagles free agent linebacker T.J. Edwards plans to sign with the Chicago Bears, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

Edwards and the Bears have agreed to a three-year deal worth $19.5 million, including $12 million in guaranteed money, a source told ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

Edwards, 26, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin in 2019 and exceeded expectations each year during his four seasons with the team.

TJ Edwards was much better than Pratt these last two years, but the total money is almost the same - 1M per year short of Pratt's deal. I still would've signed Edwards over Pratt or Tremaine Edmunds.

Hockenson and Oliver at TE for the Vikings, but they did release Thielen. Also, ILB Kendicks was released.

That said, some did think the Lions paid a little extra for Sutton. The contract projections at both PFF and Spotrac were well under his $11 million average per year. Some analysts took issue with the slight overpay:

BB_72: LOL. I believe both were predicting 9M per at 3-years. That 11M isn't that far off.

He seems to fit all the Dan Campbell words

BH, DC, AG all quote

1. Scheme Fit
2. Culture fit - I mistakenly flip-flopped 2. and 3. previously
3. Team fit
4. Locker room fit

I'm good with all that as it only takes one player to rock the boat to disrupt many players.

Sutton entered the NFL in 2017, as a third-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent his first four seasons as a multi-versatile reserve, shifting between outside corner, inside nickel, and a few looks at safety. Sutton started a handful of games in the back half of 2020, earned a 2-year contract extension, then took on a full-time starting role in 2021, and went on to have his best season as a professional in 2022.

While Sutton is mainly an outside corner (roughly 70% of snaps in 2022), he still moves inside (20% as a slot corner and 7% in the box) on occasion, showing he has the ability and intelligence to matchup situationally—something his coaches and teammates appreciate about him.

“There are so many different things Cam (Sutton) does that go unnoticed,” Steelers All-Pro defensive lineman Cam Heyward said on the Minus Three Podcast “He can play nickel, he can play outside, he can play the dime. The fact that you can move him around—and the fact that he plays with a little bit of a mean streak—he is a guy that I really do appreciate.”
