So far in the NFL mock draft.

3. Detroit : Jeff Okudah - CB - Ohio St.
35. Detroit : Cesar Ruiz - C - Michigan
67. Detroit : Jordan Elliott - DT - Missouri

I am also looking to move back up in the third for a player that I feel is a massive value, if not necessarily a massive need.

If Tua is on the board at #3 and Gingerdick can't pull off a king's ransom to trade down. He should be fired immediately.

The Dolphins stockpile has our name written all over it.

I agree, but in this draft the guy picking for Miami did not want to trade. Did not figure anyone would jump him at 5 and he was right

@broncosmitty refusing to trade me all of his picks for a 7th round really shows that he is not a fan of the Lions

That's why if they don't trade up, take Tua. Not only would it send shockwaves throughout the 1st two rounds of the draft, but eventually someone will pony up for one of our QBs. It's not like the Lions are going to win jack shit this year anyway under Mr. Golden Corral.

Queebee butt isn't that smart though.

If the NFL has the Lions winning, the Lions will win. But, do the Lions want to win if they get the nod from the NFL?

Blatant calls against the Lions and their 4th quarter heroics are a dead give away for overpaid Actors. Giving wins away are signs of being schedule fillers or sandbagger's.

Sandbagger's - people who deceive you about their true nature or intent in order to take advantage of their fan base... The Lions in the past have shown they only do enough to sell tickets.

It would be fun take take Tua just for the sake of trolling other teams. It's really the only logical choice since "going to lose anyways, fuck it" mentality. Golden Corral and the red rooster might take him anyways well because "They are the smartest men in the room".

Not the only reason. Look around the NFL the last 5+ years or so and you see Tom Brady when he was being grossly underpaid. Then you see successful teams with Russell Wilson on his rookie deal, Dak Prescott on his rookie deal, Jared Goff.... on his rookie deal. Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, etc.

I mean Rodgers and Brees have still done fine too. A cheap QB isn't the only way to win. Obviously. But it is one way that teams have had success with. And fuck it. The Lions have tried pretty much everything else and lost that way. Plus while Stafford may have 5+ good years left in him, Tua could have 15.

What makes you think teams want Tua instead of Hebert? Thats why you dont make ass clown moves just to piss people off.

Lions will take Chase if he is there and try to trade out if he is not. Most likely nothing will happen and they take Okudah at 3. Chargers most likely want Hebert and the Phins Tua.

Herbert has no touch, terrible accuracy, and is a poor decision maker, but he's got a cannon for an arm and an athletic profile similar to Andrew Luck. Very similar to Josh Allen imo and that seems to be working okay for the Bills. Tua on the other hand is very accurate, a great decision maker, has a very good understanding of both spread and WC offenses, and can manipulate opposing defenses. If Tua is healthy he's a far better prospect.

It wouldn't be an ass clown move. How often do you get a chance to take one of the top QB prospects in the draft? Their trade value is off the charts. Even QBs who haven't proven anything.

And Stafford's cracked vertebrae doesn't give me a lot of confidence in his long term durability.

But you're probably right. The Lions will end up taking a fucking CB.

No argument here but when is Tua ever healthy? Between his ankles and hips he is almost always compromised. He reminds me of Sam Bradford albeit more athletic. Herbert is better than Allen in almost every aspect too and probably more like Luck. If anything he reminds me of Stafford more than anyone.

Because Tua is an elite prospect who has won a national championship.
Herbert is Harrington 2.0 who has won nothing and done nothing special in his college career.
There is nothing ass clown about pick a potential franchise QB btw.

Source? No source. Just speculation that you know what tweedledum and tweedledee are thinking.

Anyone from the Phins or Chargers organization claim that?

Ian Rappaport is the source for the first. See my earlier post in this thread. Lions 2020 Draft Watch
