Big series for the Bucs. If they have any hope of snagging one of the wild card slots, they must win this series.

They've all been struggling.. Offense, defense, pitching and base running looks bad, recently. It's time for the leaders and veterans of this club to distinguish themselves, and I think it's a great time for AJ to be climbing the bump, tonight. He can be the tone-setter for this series.

I'm going to watch this one live this evening. Hope I can drive home with the satisfaction of a W!

We need this series badly. If the Pirates are a good team? This is the time for them to step up & show it. And, not just for this series either. If we are going to compete in September for one of the WC spots, we need to get on an extended run.

J-Mac dealing, McCutchen's having another strong game at the plate, and Pedro in beast mode.

All of these are good signs. Hopefully this game gives them some momentum.

I'm not just looking at the score today. Cutch has had two solid days at the dish in a row, and is back to hitting line drives, Pedro's been showing signs of heating up for about a week now, and JMac, who in my opinion is the most important to turning it around, looked excellent tonight. If he gets going again, Burnett will have a lot of pressure lifted from his shoulders.

It's gratifying to see McDonald pitch a good game..... and do it while throwing to McKenry. At least the Cards can't sweep the Pirates now.

A really great win. Loved seeing J-Mac and Pedro rough up the Cards, and I was thrilled to see Harrison plow Molina at home, even if the outcome of the play was negative. If Molina is unable to play tonight, that could prove to be pivotal, as he regularly torments the Bucs.

I hope he is not hurt for a long period of time, but I sheepishly relished him getting destroyed by Jay-Hey.

Molina in general is such an integral cog in the Cardinals' baseball machine. Him going down for any length of time really hurts them, and therefore helps the Pirates.

Molina just continuously tortures the Pirates. Like I said, I don't wish him injury... at the same time, I wasn't lamenting him exiting the game, last nite.
