The schedule favors us for the last wild card.

The cards have 7 games vs the nats left, plus a 7 game west coast trip 3 at pads and 4 at dodgers.

The dodgers have even a worse schedule, its down right brutal.

Our performance against the "lesser" teams has been less than stellar lately, so I wouldn't bank too much on the schedule strength.

In reality, though, five of those losses against "lesser" teams came against the Padres, who are just beating everybody they play right now. No one's had a solution for them.

Even so, we do need to play better against those weak teams than we have. I have to wonder how much of that poor performance, though, can be attributed to being tired from having a 19-inning game lie in a stretch of 22 days without a day off and how much was just the Pirates playing bad baseball.

Brewers are playing as well as when we met them last week, so it's gonna be another rough go this weekend.
