I was actually referring to how he broke stride going into 3rd. Had he not done that, he would've made it easily.

Swear, and I'm not implying Banister is a puppet for the front office, but I feel some of why he's still hitting at all comes from a "general discussion" between JD and Bannister, and perhaps more.

For me, I get TRYING to get something out of Fielder. But why is he always positioned in such a key position is my question?

Nope, not at all. I never thought we would get more than 3 years of decent or better production from him. Once I found out about the bat speed declining the year before we got him I was even more against it. I was just as must against the Choo signing.
