I’ve said it before but I’m confident that Atlanta is still very happy with the trade they made to get Trae Young.
I think they are too.

But, if they had a do over?

Who did that extra pick turn out to be?

If it was reddish? Yuck...lol

Now is probably the time to sell high on Reddish. Had a good run in the playoffs. Never been a fan of his since duke
Me neither.

Dude, what should I expect from Winslow?

I hate guys like him that show promise, get paid, turn into a slug...

A oft-injured slug.

expect him to play 15 games or so. Expect minor injuries to turn into a month long absence lol

But to be serious, he's not horrible and a bench role may actually fit him well but his offense been shitty as of lately. Now if he got the Winslow from 2018 then he will turn out well....Least I can say about him is he can defend multiple positions

Yeah, I expect Batum to start.

Wish we could have gotten Oubre.

But, our coins are limited...lol

Is it still Hawks day?

Jalen Johnson looks like he's gonna be a better pro than he was a collegiate player. Looks way more comfortable than he did at Duke

I thought he was a a steal on draft day. Definitely would have went in his direction over at least half a dozen guys taken before him

The Celtics are a flawed team. Do not think they can catch up with the top contenders.

However, they are also a lot better than they played last year.

Would not be surprised at all to see them back as a 3 or 4 seed this season and maybe pushing as far as the ECF depending on matchups.

Agreed, I’ll just hope they are a constant reminder to Presti of what not to do with a lot of assets.

I don’t think Presti needs that reminder.

He might be the best GM out there.

Then again, it is really hard to build a contender out of a small market.

On a short term I think Boston is better positioned to be successful than last year. Long term they could conceivably move pieces to add that third wheel to Tatum and Brown. But this particular team has a max ceiling of ECF imo.

Aren’t they running out of pieces to trade though?

Especially if they are keeping both Brown and Tatum.

I suppose they could pull a deal to get that next good player with an underwater contract where they don’t have to give much in terms of assets.

But Stevens has his work cut out for sure. And my guess would be that his GM tenure won’t end particularly well.

That was pretty much my thought. Grabbing a guy on a bad deal. Would've liked their chances much moreso with Paul versus Kemba as an example.

I know I've rattled on about this before but man to have all those picks and then to have a Hayward exemption and use it on Fournier and Richardson? Ugh.
