Does this thread involve talking about food?

I haven't had my coffee yet.

I guess the wings at that Atlanta strip club could be said to factor in to the discussion

Something I didn’t know, Red Auerbach actually coached the team for one season back when they were known as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks in 1949, their first season in the newly formed NBA.

So who is the best starting 5 the organization could put on the court? I mean best, as if career stats with the team don’t matter.

Not going to lie those Joe Johnson/Josh Smith Hawks were kind of fun to watch
Agreed, and before them Dominique Wilkins was WAY ahead of his time

I’ve said it before but I’m confident that Atlanta is still very happy with the trade they made to get Trae Young.

Definitely benefitted both teams.

Luka is elite, but Trae not too far behind and they got an extra piece to go with him.

The Hawks rebuild has been pretty solid, but they may live to regret the deals they made to get Gallinari and Capella who are both under contract through 2023.

At that time, Hunter and Reddish (if they keep him) will be due for raises and they will have lost the ability to sign another difference maker via free agency.

Their best move at this point might be to find that overpaid star out there and somehow try to swing a deal using Gallo’s contract + assets.

I think the Hawks are a good team, but they will have a difficult time getting to the next level unless they can pull off an unexpected trade for another high level player.
