We all know how many miles he's logged since he joined the league.
He's been an iron man, but he's now 30 and played over 40,000 minutes.
It's finally catching up with him.
I expect his mindset to quickly lesson the importance of seeding and focus on being healthy when it matters.
By the summer of '16 he won't even be the most sought after FA IMO.
Agreed...If healthy, I would rather sign Durant.
Davis might be ahead of Durant but I'll take whoever you don't want.
No doubt.
But, he will never make it to Free Agency.
Th Pelicans will max him this Summer or match any other Team that does in 2016.
It's truly frightening that he is still on his Rookie deal and putting up those numbers
Very true, unless there are some new twists and turns in the next CBA.
Good to see he's getting some recognition by the fans.
He's gonna be a Starter for the West at the All Star game if voting holds.
Both Gasol's might start too, which would be a first I think.
Sad that Butler, Lowry and Klay Thompson are nowhere on the map.
I hope Lowry makes it as a reserve.
I actually think they got the guards right in the East. AS games are about numbers and not your teams records.
Wade has been better than Butler and Wall has been better than Lowry. Both will make it as reserve
AS game is not about position.
So, if you take the top 2 guards, it's Wall and Lowry.
But, it's a fans game.
That's why Kobe will remain one of the top vote getters and Melo will start as well.
With that being said, I wasn't referring to them starting.
It bothers me that the guys I listed are not even in contention. They are not getting any votes.
Fans are dumb and vote for the names they know the most.
It is the reason why Yao Ming always used to start...It was the only basketball player they knew in China
Except for last year when Kobe wasn't even playing, he earned his starting position every year though. I agree though that voting him in last year was stupid though.
I don't think it's stupid.
I think it's a testament to his popularity.
Hell, even Jordan didn't get voted in every year.
He was a reserve his last year with the Wizards.
* Remembers Vinsanity not wanting to give up his spot*
The Allstar game is for the Fans..Both hardcore and casual.
People want to see him, especially if next year is his Swan song...* which I don't believe*
The All-NBA Teams are for the Players and that's when the best get their due * usually *.
Kind of interesting though how a year ago Lebron was being called "The best basket ball player in the NBA ever" and suddenly the excuses are flying left and right. Seems like to me if Lebron is going to be considered even better than Michael Jordan(who never missed again except for those he played baseball), then shouldn't be missing games already. After all if he is even better than Kobe, he shouldn't be missing games
