Typical Kobe kid.

The all-star game means something when Kobe wins the MVP or blocks LeBron's shot. But when Wade accidentally broke Kobe's nose they cried like Apollo Creed's manager in Rocky 4 screaming "this was suppose to be an exhibition!!!!!"

:lame:

What's the excuse for a bullshit foul like this in a glorified exhibition game?

Are we even watching the same clip? Wade wrapped himself around Kobe because he just got schooled by the 34 year old.

Fact of the matter is, everyone says Shaq was the reason the Lakers won the titles between 2000 and 2002. Kobe was every bit as important in that run. Yes Kobe was the #2 option, but how many number 2s become:

2 x NBA Champs
2 x Finals MVP
1 x Regular Season MVP
10 x All Star Selection
3 x All Star Game MVP
8 x All NBA First Team selected
2 x NBA scoring champ

AFTER the teams best player left.

Kobe, unlike almost any other superstar in history stepped up his game when most needed and pretty much single-handed kept the Lakers amongst the NBA elite.
Kobe's situation was much different than others. He was just hitting his prime after being in the league for 7yrs. Most players were already 27-28yrs old after being in the league for 7yrs.

Not sure what your definition of elite is but once Shaq left, the Lakers missed the playoffs and then bounced in the first round 2x in a row. Then they had a run of 3 straight finals and haven't been passed the 2nd round since 2010.

Players are measured by what thy do in the Finals. Kobe's performance in 5 out the 7 he's been in is pretty dismal.

:laugh3:

Do I detect a bad trolling attempt from a guy who's team hasn't made the finals in 15 years...?

Yes, we are. Wade wrapped him up and went for the block.

It's not like he went Bynum on Berea or something. But like I said, it happened to Kobe so all of a sudden "why Wade, it's just an exhibition"

Not at all. Look at that stats and show me that besides 2001 and 2009 that Kobe played well in the other 5.

Being part of 7 Finals is impressive, until you look at the whole picture.

It's amazing how we started on a Lebron topic, and ended on Kobe again.

It seems like the haters are more interested in him than the "kobe kids".

He's averaging 25/5/5 in the finals. Four of them as the number two option. And THAT is dismal?

He must be a terrible husband to you, since you have that grumpy attitude, he must not be giving you enough in your anal. Now I see why you like to say chico, it's because you're a bitch, I knew you were a fag.

2nd I wasn't trolling anyone on here right now.

Some guys think true Lakers fans actually care more about individual players rather than the team itself.

They could have given those finals MVPs to Mark Madsen and Luke Walton for all I care - as long as the Lakers lift the Larry O'Brian!

We're not Heat fans you know...

Kobe was brought up sparingly throughout the thread

You're the one in post #122 who quoted nobody and said Kobe will always be ahead of James in rankings.

Look at all the games individually, percentages etc...no just all 7 combined.

That's what I mean about "seeing the whole picture"

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't those clear HOF numbers? How many 30+ games do you see?

And you call that dismal?!? Have they legalized cannabis where you are too now?

I never said he wasn't a HOF'er. Yes those 30 point games look nice but when shooting % is in the low 40's to high 30's...it's not that impressive.

When your FG attempts are barely above your point total.....that's not good.

29pts on 29fga is not impressive. Just like 21pts on 20fga, 32pts on 31fga, 26pts on 27fga

Major pattern over most of those finals man.

How about Lebron in last years finals then?

8-22
7-21
7-17

Was that a 'dismal' MVP performance too?
