Let's face it - LeBron is a retard. No one in their right mind would take Jackson's comments racially. It's been widely speculated that LeBron has often received special treatment. From receiving illegal police escorts to asking the Heat to provide his posse with tickets behind the bench. LeBron is a great player, no one is denying this but he's an idiot. Why didn't Jackson say "LeBron is like MJ and Kobe, you know, those black guys have to have their posses".

and hey- thats cool if Phil wants to run his mouth---- If Phil was in 1st place and the interview was a happy cheery one lauding how great he is and his ego was soothed he isnt even mentioning LeBron- but- his team sucks- he has done a poor job - and he doesnt look like the genius or the franchise saivor- so he decides to run his mouth. since he has taken over as GM of the Knicks- he has done a pretty piss-poor job- he is getting paid a lot of money to hire bad coaches, try and force systems on players that dont want to play the triangle, and sign guys like Joakim Noah to long term huge contracts who are well passed their primes.

The only good thing he has done is draft Porzingis- and after Towns, Russell and Okafor went- its not like Porzingis wasnt considered a good and reasonable choice at that point in the draft.

I think his ego is a little bruised as he has always won- (and of course has always had elite talent)....

obviously one of- if not the greatest coach of all time.

in his current capacity? appears to be piss-poor and that aura surrounding him is being damaged. I bet he quits before the end of his contract and leaves the Knicks a mess.

And Jordan's not a great owner... Doesn't mean because Phil hasn't been great as a GM, his credibility is gone. He still has a high bball IQ. It is a steady paycheck and I'm sure he's trying to figure it out. Everyone called him crazy for drafting Porzingis.
