Larry Brown should take this team for 2024-2025.

Tell people what they need to hear in practice. And actually practice.

It’s not a hard argument for 2 of the best 15 imo.

AD should’ve been better than he is a while ago.

He’s a better player than Embiid, but he doesn’t seem to care to make everyone realize it.
Embiid dominates AD every time they take the court together. Buy a clue my guy.

After watching what Monty Williams has done with the Pistons this year I give absolutely no weight to the COY award. And even if Brown has become a good coach with the Kings it doesn’t mean he was a good coach when he coached LeBron.

The problem is that the Lakers don’t have time to let a young coach figure things out.

Their time is right now.

It is a bad fit.

You don’t hire a rookie coach and let them grow into the job when you have an aging roster built around LeBron. It makes no sense at all.

Outside of Lebron, it's not an aging roster.

Average age outside Lebron is 26.

It's kind of a weird mix for a Lebron team because it usually is older vets trying to get a ring.

The next 2 oldest players (AD and Dinwiddie) are 8 years younger.

Most of the guys he's played for have proven their worth without him...

Spo - Widely considered a top 10/15 coach of all-time after two finals appearances after LeBron.

Lue - Not many in the game today are better at managing egos, as shown by the jobs he's done w/ the Clippers.

Mike Brown - COY after leading the Sacramento Kings to their first playoff appearance since I was in high school.

Vogel - His story is still incomplete, but the Suns have played well given the circumstances given by their new reckless ownership.
After Spo had success with Lebron and after there has been no talk about this. You are late to the party like always
Lue was extremely young. He has learned a lot since then.
Mike Brown was always seen as a pretty good coach. Nothing spectacular. The Kings have a lot of talent but winning COY is very overrated. Monty did and they fired him.
Vogel is average at best. Nothing special.

2 of those guys you listed are great coaches. The other two are average at best but I would take Brown over Vogel any day of the week.

No David Blatt, Luke Walton or Paul Silas?

You know what's sad about Spo?

Guy's an all-time great coach yet he's still the third-biggest name in his own organization behind Pat Riley and Jimmy Butler...

Don't sit here and pretend that you were aware of his greatness all along back in 2012.

You know these stats are easily attainable online, right?

8 games
Embiid: 25.3 pts, 10.8 reb, 4 ast
AD: 23.1 pts, 11.8 reb, 2.3 blk

No domination evident

W/L is not an individual stat, nice deflection attempt though
So it must really slant Embiid’s direction if you don’t want to answer the question. And it’s actually your post that’s the deflection. Not sure if you’re aware but the goal of any sports contest is to win the game. It’s not ancillary goal. It’s the main fucking thing.

I didn't even look. You said head-to-head, not team-to-team.

I can see the confusion because not a lot of people know that basketball is a team sport.

You said Embiid dominated Davis. That is head to head, not my team is better than yours. By your logic, DLo dominates SGA.

Interesting thread. Maybe you can help me out here.

I typed in- did LeBron ever say he's never played for a good NBA coach and I found nothing saying that.

Gotta feeling this is nothing more than another one of your I wanna bitch about LeBron again crusades.

Spo- was he considered a good coach when LeBron played in Miami? Nope.

Lue- when LeBron played for him he was just starting his coaching career.

Brown- did anyone call him a good coach when LeBron played for him? Again nope.

Vogel- in 12 years as a coach he's only had two 50-win seasons (and is 466-415 overall). I'd call that more average than good.

Did you think before you started this thread?

If Lebron is on your team, you’re playing Lebron ball. It don’t matter who the coach is, Lebron is the floor general, #1scoring threat, and #1 creator of offense. The PG better be able to bring it up when Lebron is out or when Lebron wants to get the ball at half, the wings better be able to shoot and play defense, and the big man better be able to rebound and defend. Pair him with another big time scorer or two to take a little of the load off and you have a championship team.
