Im not trying to "limit" him to anything either, but he has the potential to be a potentially elite cf. Corner OF'ers are much easier to find.

Good point. It's also worth noting that Martin made a RFer out of Engle Beltre pretty quickly.

we're not talking about replacing and trading Moreland because of Hawpe, we're talking what happens if we were to sign Fielder. i think Moreland becomes expendable if we sign Fielder.

With Prince, you would have to figure he's going to play at least 135-145 games at 1st. that leaves 17-27 games where Young and maybe Napoli are going to split time to give Fielder a break from the Texas heat.

It's hard to say right now. Every one of those OFers, for one reason or another, are question marks and I can't believe that two people in less than 30 minutes have called MY a back up 1st baseman.

not really a back up but will spell fielder sometimes along with napoli,dont rule out olt as a back-up .....with fielder moreland is very expendable bottom line

MY played 36 regular season games at 1st and Napoli played 35, starting 27 of those. why can't you give credit to MY? he had never played 1st before and did a reasonable decent job
