Lakers put the smack down on GS

The Warriors had quite a few ugly turnovers. (Green had quite a few) Good podcast last week with Bogut -- who described that during Kerr's first practices last year, he spent a bunch of time on simple passing drills. Bogut said some guys were pissed because they are NBA players and having to do basic middle school drills. But Bogut said after a couple of weeks -- he noticed an improvement. Kerr might have them back doing those drills.

Bogut also described discussion with Andy V after a couple of games ... Andy said something like "you guys really move the ball well". (meant as a dig against the Cavs)

I think this is an excellent point. The past few games they've had sloppy passing-from everyone. It wouldn't hurt them to tighten those up.

I like Varajeo, he was good player and had toughness but maybe the Cavs dropping him is all the needed. Maybe he was just bad luck for all those years and he will bring GS that bad luck

I'm sure Anderson was what was holding the Cavs back.

Yea but their priority is to stay healthy for the playoffs. If they're able to break the record in the process then great. If not, it doesn't change anything for them in terms of seeding for the playoffs. The only thing that would change that is if they lose more than the Spurs during the final stretch. And honestly, the way that Pop rests his guys during the last couple of weeks I wouldn't count on that. Not saying it can't happen, just that I wouldn't count on it happening.

It does the Warriors no good to set the regular season wins record if they don't bring home the title. The Patriots going 18-0 a while back didn't mean a damn thing when they lost the Super Bowl.

What do ya mean it didn't mean a damn thing? How could you forget that the Pats won the AFC East that year! That's a big deal.

Yes. I think them having won last year makes it easier for them to prioritize the two.

Also, I think having a coach that's A. played the game, B. played on a team that's won a title, C. played with one of the greats & D. was on that team whose record they could break helps this team greatly. IMO his experience is so invaluable to this team.
