I like the hire. I wasn't big on him when the job first opened up, but I've come around and am happy that he's going to be the coach.
I'll miss ridiculing the two previous Lakers coaches. For Scott's sake, I hope the Lakers understand he's not going to have this team in contention immediately.
Considering that Mitch has been preaching patience and they didn't get Lebron or 'Melo, I'd think they should understand that.
Unless, of course, they bring in the rest of the Showtime Lakers and a hot tub time machine.![]()

I agree here... He has had success but he had Jason Kidd and CP3... When faced with a young team and Kyrie it didn't go well... However, according to Deng that Cleveland locker room was a mess and many of them were their with Scott so can't give him all the blame... Maybe there was a mutiny... That won't be the case here... Kobe and many other professional players are here even the young ones... This could be a very good hire, and he was a great Laker, you gotta love that part of it... Here's the first step...
Run Byron Run !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think B. Scott will incorporate many ex-Lakers in his staff as well as consultants. People like Mark Madsen and Kareem will be around and I see him eventually enticing Steve Nash to retire as a player and become a coach. I think Nash is now a Laker to the core and although it is very doubtful he'll see a championship as a player, if he sticks around, he may see one as a coach.

I would like nothing more than to see Nash as a Lakers coach.
