This is basically a two-man team. AD has 31 and James has 23 and nobody else is shooting or doing much of anything. Again, the Lakers should begin to rebuild this team now. Why wait. Get rid of all these overpaid, old players who are just riding the coattails of AD and James.

The lead balloons to 17 and THT has done nothing now that James is back. 2 points is all that he has and that is why bring James back does little for the encouragement of other players to actually play the game. Everyone defers to James and AD and does little else

And now the lead is 20 as the Lakers went back to the hotel at the half.

Garbage time players are on the court. Lakers go to 8-9. On they go Sunday to Detroit.

Seriously, if I was Pelinka, I'd start looking for trade partners for players on my present roster with the goal of obtaining draft capital for next June.

I would start by moving Westbrook for Buddy Hield. Package Ellington and Bazemore and send them out with Westbrook to Sacramento.

I think if this continues, Vogel will be shown the door as well. I think this team needs to rid itself of Rich Paul and Klutch Sports. Then see if there are trade partners for both AD and James in the near future. The shit-show that is the Lakers should really think about cutting salaries and players because what was on paper back in the fall is not working and will not work. Most of these players are done. Westbrook is useless and all he has done is not even mentionable at this point. They all need to retire and/or go somewhere else to retire. People like THT and Monk need to have the space to grow and it ain't happening with AD and James around.

Here is an article that just about sums it all up. Not even LeBron can save this team from itself. Vogel with his ridiculous substitution problems and the complete absence of an identity, with a defense that in two years has gone from 1st to 18th, and with three so-called superstars can't get out of its own way fast enough.

So, yea, I think somebody is going to have to come to the Lakers and take control and it isn't Magic Johnson. I would think Jeanie Buss would take a good long look at the icon and give full autonomy to him to turn this mess around including ridding the culture of the Lakers that allows every frikin' ex-player and their wives to have say in this mess. There needs to be a complete house cleaning as this article indirectly suggests.

Ellington started off hot.....he's just going through a rough patch.

I agree on Bazemore kicking rocks, especially once Nunn comes back.

Luke Walton gets canned. Maybe Vogel should hire him to help Vogel get a grip on this team because right now, Vogel is clueless.

WTH? Dwight Howard just hit a three and has 13 points. The Lakers are down by 7 at the half. Westbrook and Howard lead the scoring and AD and James have yet to get into double figures. Another losing team beating the crap out of the Lakers.

LOL. James gets ejected. When you can't score and can't win, go home early by getting yourself ejected. I think James wants to sit some more. I think he liked his time away from the grind of playing every night. That is why, the Lakers should clean this house. This present roster are not going to change things anytime soon.

With all of the ejected players gone, maybe the Lakers can get back to playing basketball. The Lead is 12 for the Pistons.
