most forget the stud that he was in his rookie year

if he keeps his weight down and somehow manages to stay healthy, he can be pretty effective

Lacy reportedly worked out for the Bears last week. He was apparently confused why the Bears insisted he wear #72 for the workout.

Yeah, if he would've re-signed with the Packers for that, I wouldn't have been mad.

I just don't trust him to stay healthy anymore, though. Problem with GB is that I don't trust Montgomery to be able to be a feature back either. Gonna need to get some help in the backfield or it's gonna be another year of Aaron Rodgers breaking his back carrying the whole team again.
It's a shame the Packers haven't surrounded Rodgers with better talent. That Green Bay defense is swiss cheese.

The O-line has been really good the last couple years - easily the best Rodgers ever had in front of him. Really wish we could've seen the defense hold up their end of the deal because Rodgers is probably never going to have as good of an O-line again.

I like it though, Lacy is a physical back that we miss right now.. If the guy can apply himself and stay in shape it's gonna help us.. He's no beast mode, but he is a physical runner that we don't have right now.... Rawls, Lacy and Prosise is a nice combo ... 2 slashers and 1 physical back now...

if he can stay on the field. His recurring lower leg injuries were because of his weight issues. Playing at 250 puts a lot of stress on his lower body with his style of running

Yeah he's gotta stay in shape for sure... Can't come in that heavy... He's gotta be around 225-230 ... Lynch played around 215-220 ....

Did Seattle even look at Blount? I'm surprised he hasn't received some looks. Especially on a one year like Lacy?

I was surprised as well, I'm sure they tested the waters with his agent and they wanted too much.

Could be a good pickup for Seattle but yeah he got to get his weight under control in order to be completely effective.

Lots of "injury prone" labels being tossed around today. From what I can find, Lacy missed 1 game for injury in his first 3 seasons. Played really well for 4+ games last season then a bad ankle injury cost him the remaining 11, so now he's injury prone? I don't know how he'll work out in Seattle -- obviously I'm rooting for something in the "very well" category -- but this sounds more like sour grapes than injury prone.

I listened to the interview live today. What PC said specifically after this regarding his weight is that they like him to be somewhere in the 240s.

Was a attempt at a bad joke

Ah, got it. I was still in transition from work to home mode and didn't have my wits about me to catch the humor.
