I honestly just hope Kyrie finds a way to stay in the East. The competitive balance in talent between the conferences is absurd.

Not odd at all.
Do you really think Gilbert would be paying all that luxury tax if LeBron weren't forcing him too with all the opt outs?
Just look at how this off season has gone for Cleveland. This is the one summer LeBron didn't have an opt out. Coincidence? I think not.

It is silly to think that it really makes a difference if this is Lebron's "opt out" summer or not. Everyone knows that what happens this summer will have a big impact on next summer's decision (when he officially has the 'opt out'). Lebron -- as much as any NBA player -- has a good memory.

Lebron will always force management to spend on upgrades to give him the best short-term chance to win the NBA championship.

If people want to know Lebron's decision making thinking & process -- read Windhorst's book. It will be a basketball + business decision ... and Lebon alone will make it. The last time -- Lebron didn't listen to his family -- and basically kept them (and all of his "posse") in the dark until the last minute. The Cavaliers didn't find out his decision until the rest of us did. Lebron forced them to clear salary ahead of time -- even though there was a good chance he might decide to stay in Miami or go someplace else. If people think they know what Lebron will do ahead of time -- they don't understand what is going on. Lebron won't show his hand until he makes the decision. (lower case ... he learned his lesson)
