Curry became a top 20 player 2 years before he won his 1st MVP. Please let's stop acting like Steph was some shitty player until 2014-2015 NBA season
WTF are you high?

this is the biggest piece of bullshit revisionist history I have ever seen in my fucking life. You have got to be fucking joking me.

Curry signed a 4 year 44 million dollar deal because he had serious ankle concerns and no one thought he could play D.

ABSOLUTELY no one in their right mind had Curry as a top 20 player- not his GRANDMA.

Wow you're really dumb. He signed the deal after the 2012 season. By the time the 2013 season ended, he was a top 20 player and he was damn sure still a top 20 player after his 2014 season as well. You're a clown if you think Steph Curry was not a top 20 player before his MVP season in 2015. Heck if you're judging his season based on stats, his 2014 regular season was every bit as good as his 2015 MVP season

And yes Wiggy you're correct. Nobody thought Curry was a top 20 player when he signed that deal at the end of 2012. If you fast forward to the end of 2013/start of 2014, everyone thought he was a top 20 player at that time. Do you realize how dumb you are? You're intentionally skipping the 2 seasons of his career where he went from solid basketball player to a force to be reckon with

Coming into the 2013-2014 season Steph Curry had never been to an all star game, had won one playoff series, had serious injury issues- BUT EVERYONE THOUGHT HE WAS A TOP 20 PLAYER lol. AFTER the 2014 season- A guy one season removed from having multiple ankle surgeries with 1 all star appearance that couldnt play a lick of defense? absolutely not.

you have got to be fucking kidding me. Even AFTER that season you couldnt put him way up there after making 1 all star team and winning one playoff series! LOL. this is a joke right?

and this is ridiculous in the first place because i wasnt trying to take a shot at curry with my original post- just saying his career path is unprecedented. No one- NO ONE- saw this coming from a kid who couldnt stay on the court with serious ankle injuries- and no one had on their radar as an elite player- to all of a sudden because a sure-fire top 5 guy. Especially because basketball is such a young-mans-game. Very strange.

I think it was just a confluence of factors- (i) he got healthy (ii) he got better teammates (an understatement- including Ellis leaving), (iii) Kerr came in (which is probably a hugely underated factor as before Kerr- Curry was starting to become a guy who could make all star teams [made 1] but was hardly a proven perennial all star), (iv) he hit his prime years.

to go from fringe all star and a guy that won one playoff series- that not even the most asinine revisionist history liar would say could contend for the MVP- to all of a sudden winning it twice in a row is just simply unprecedented in league history as far as i know.

you might as well admit it, Shaqdaddy. Curry flat-out sucks, and CLEARLY can't hold Kyrie's jock. that's the point of this thread, y'know...:dhd::dhd:

gotta love it...:rolleyes2:
Curry is better than Irving now- I would not even go out on a limb and make that argument.

However- you have to admit that Kyrie totally outplayed him in the Finals, and at age 24 Kyrie was light years ahead of where Steph was at age 24

Who said he was a top 20 player entering the 2013 season? Find me that post. Thanks

SI top players of 2014. Steph Curry is listed at #15. As I said before due to his amazing 2013 season, he was a top 20 player by the end of the 2013 season and was without a doubt a top 20 player entering the 2014 season.

He won his MVP May of 2015. He was a top 20 player in may of 2013. Find me the quote where I said Steph was a top 20 player entering the 2013 season.

Another top player list. Steph Curry ranked as the 7th best player in the league according to CBS entering the 2014-2015 season. As I said before Steph was a top 20 player by the end of 2013 season so he was in everyone's top 20 entering the 2013-2014 & 2014-2015 basketball season.

LOL wow that is some back tracking- because thats what everyone means by 2 years, LOL

those are some AWFUL LONG strings you just tried to pull out of your ass to try and cover up how wrong you were.

ohhh....so what you are saying is that in May of 2013 Curry magically became considered a top 20 player? lol....please - you are embarrassing yourself ...was it like 2 years to the DAY before? lol. You COULDNT HAVE MEANT 2 seasons and then completely realized you were 100% making yourself look like an idiot right?
