Avery might be taking it a bit far, but so far this year he has injured (fairly seriously) Spezza and Backstrom on questionable plays at best.

Pretty soon there is no more questionable, just very dirty.

You make a good point about every player being dirty. Unless you're Gretzky or Lemieux you have to create your own space out there sometimes. Some players do it in a more honest way than others.

I agree, but he's yet to have a blatantly dirty hit that I can recall. As you've said, there's been a handful of questionable, but to me in my incredibly biased stance, it's not quite enough to label him dirty.

I know that, honestly, there are very few 'saints' in this league. There's good reason for that, because not a single player will go through a career without getting cheapshotted, so the temptation to return fire only grows. I was just saying that Letang isn't even close to Avery/Burrish level. I'm sure he's an annoying prick to play against, but most good players with that extra grit are.

Sigh. This is a place to express your opinion about certain topics. I think Letang is a dirty, cowardly player. I believe that his actions last night are not an isolated incident but rather a trend. My first post in this thread was an expression of that. You and others here may not agree (Pix for example) and hence a dialogue is underway.

Now.... what does ANYTHING you've posted in this thread contribute to the topic at hand?
