I don't find that many people call the Penguins a dirty team. I personally don't think they are particularly dirty. They have, IMO, two dirty players in Cooke and Letang.

To me Orpik is a solid defenseman who is mean but honest.

I think Orpik plays on the edge with a hint of recklessness to his game... he really nailed Cole from behind and he put Franzen out for a while with a knee on knee hit. He's one of my favorite defensemen and I don't think he's dirty per se, but he's very aggressive and plays hard, and I think sometimes he gets caught up in the moment.


Not like that filthy cheap shit Letang, I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet but he is a diving coward. I can say that, because no one on my team is dirty.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, for sure, but I'm shocked that anyone thinks Letang is the second dirtiest player on the Pens after Cooke.

Hell, I'd say Malkin, and maybe even Crosby, are "dirtier" players that Letang.

Sympathize with you Caps fans regarding Backstrom though. Hopefully he's not expected out too long.
