Once they're each several yards past the LOS, they're probably pretty comparable. But Blount is not nearly as reliable as I'd like about getting that far in the first place.

I think Blount and lynch are very similar when running the ball. Lynch doesn't suck near as much as Blount does at receiving or blocking though. The problem with Blount is that when he's on the field, the defense knows (or should know) it's a running play.

Blount may not be as good athletically as Lynch but at least he can talk well enough English to understand what he's saying, and he carries himself like a grown man instead of a teenage thug trying to impress his buddies.....:2cents:

I mean Blounts always been a nice short yard guy, and he had a GREAT game Vs Indy. But come on I could rush for a hundo vs Indy.

Now the front page of nfl.com is a picture of blount and lynch with the title "unleash the beasts"

Blount was cut midway through the year. Can we please not talk about him in the same breath as a guy thats been one of the best backs in the league ever since he got to Seattle.

No argument from me. Blount is not the beast. Lynch is way above Blount in talent

They are reporters! This is the show. Can you imagine how hard it is to say something intelligent with 6000+ media credentials?????

Blount is the TO of running backs.

He'll do good for a few games, his ego begins to inflate and then he starts with all his troubles.

Blount punched a dude on the football field once in college but Lynch fuckin ran someone over with his car while playing in Buffalo. Lynch is clearly on a whole different playing field

Ah, the Donkey Punch game.

LOL...looks like at the start of the gif #94 was just finishing a prod at Blount. Then Blount finished #94.

You mean outside of when he punched that other player in the face after the game and when he's been caught with an illegal drug, right?

They're both power backs obviously. But Blount doesntdoesnt have Lunch's open field jump cuts. He can move a pile, but not like Lynch.

To be fair to Blount he isn't any scrub.

Also the compairsons probably has more to do with both guys being big running backs who are tough to bring down. Blount been solid in NE. In his 2 years with New England he has avg 5 YPC and 4.7 YPC

And lynch has how many more carries over that time span?????

This is what you're concerned abotu the week of the superbowl?

Right, because gowazzu doesn't make tons of threads about all things Seahawks as it is. :L

Serously man. Why do you pick on any and all Seahawk fans to the point where you make a post this lame? He has another thread on the first page asking about NE's defense and whether they play man or zones mostly. And he's made others.

Not on the same level, obviously, but Blount definitely has his moments. Don't know how much they use him in this game though

I'd be more annoyed that they are calling him the beast as well. Get your own nickname ffs. It can't be that hard. It's just dumb and lazy for reporters to recycle shit like that for other players. Read another article somewhere that said Blount went beast mode and about spit my water out. There is only one beast, at least right now. Let the guy retire before you use it again at the very least.

That they are together on an article or image doesn't mean anything. Nothing. At all.

They both have 4.7 yards per rushing attempt one is just used more often then the other. Wouldn't surprise me to see that they have similar yards after initial contact if I could find that stat.

Good lord. I guess you can compare any two players, but what a ridiculous comparison this is.

Hard to find just RB YAC on rushing, or at least I didn't find it in a super quick search, but I've seen many sites that use adjusted information to rank RB's and Blount never places high on any of them.

Take
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb
For example.

Any of the formulas they use to normalizing data still leaves Blount way down the list. Murray tops it and Lynch is second in the overall compilation on this site.

Someone with a PFF account can probably get the raw YAC stats for all of them as well. I don't waste my money on such stuff.
