I mean Blounts always been a nice short yard guy, and he had a GREAT game Vs Indy. But come on I could rush for a hundo vs Indy.

Now the front page of nfl.com is a picture of blount and lynch with the title "unleash the beasts"

Blount was cut midway through the year. Can we please not talk about him in the same breath as a guy thats been one of the best backs in the league ever since he got to Seattle.

Not good enough for the almighty Titans so we cut him and he plays for the Patriots in the Super Bowl. :gaah:

Sorry, I'll shut up. :L

He also wasn't good enough for the Steelers because they cut him.

Its called advertisement.

The NFL put Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson next to each other in the same pic like they were on the same tier, too.

Ya, I agree this is just the NFL trying to pimp the matchups. No biggie. No one is going to confuse Lynch and Blount.

Exactly. I'm sure Wilson will be compared to Brady at some point this week, too.

I wonder if the league is promoting the right NE RB. Good as Blount was against Indy, I think that Vareen might get more snaps than Blount against Seattle.

Both are big bodies and this is the NFL just advertising. I highly doubt they think Blount is on the same level of Lynch. But let's not forget the great games BOTH these RBs had heading into this Super Bowl, hence the choice by the NFL

He did have over 300 total yards in 1 game last season vs Bills. Pats dont utilize him as their primary go too. Not comparing him to Lynch but he aint half bad

At least thank the Pats that we've taken a break from comparing Luck to Wilson :suds:

Seattle's D Saved the game for Wilson who had 4 picks and Luck only lost cause the Pats had underinflated balls, Luck is better than both- ManningtoLuckUJelly?

To be fair to Blount he isn't any scrub.

Also the compairsons probably has more to do with both guys being big running backs who are tough to bring down. Blount been solid in NE. In his 2 years with New England he has avg 5 YPC and 4.7 YPC

Blount punched a dude on the football field once in college but Lynch fuckin ran someone over with his car while playing in Buffalo. Lynch is clearly on a whole different playing field
