Fed went from dominating from 2 feet inside the baseline, to standing 5 feet behind the baseline and defending most of the time from the 2nd set until now.

Bizarre.

Fed's looked out of gas for most of the match, even when he was winning. It makes sense, since he's gone straight fro winning at Dubai to losing in a third set breaker at IW to Miami. That's 15 matches in, what, 26 days?

He's probably gonna get crushed by Nole on Friday, but he can't afford to throw away these 180 points. He needs to find a way past Kei.

Nishi played a very solid game and Fed's game gradually eroded after the first set. Fed had the decisive break in the second and had the match on his racket but nishikoru stepped it up. Kudos! Well on to the next tournament for Fed, this was a close match with a few points here and there.
