The Toronto Raptors make the first major stretch of the 2012 draft by selecting Washington combo-guard Terrence Ross.

No. 8 Toronto Raptors: Terrence Ross, SG, Washington

Grade: D

It's like the Raptors looked at DeMar DeRozan and said, "Yea, we want a mirror image of him."

The Raptors certainly made a stretch by selecting Ross, but that doesn't mean he's a terrible player. Ross can certainly add offensive production off the bench, which is a major need for the Raptors heading into the 2012-13 season.

With other players like Jeremy Lamb, Andre Drummond and Austin Rivers, it's somewhat shocking the Raptors made this selection, and that's why it gets such a low grade.

Thank you Toronto, for the first stretch of the draft.
