Oh yeah and how about our esteemed colleague Harold Reynolds last night? :L

He's picking up right where McCarver left off.

Can't begin to tell you how frustrated I was watching the Royals swing at literally EVERY SINGLE PITCH in those early innings and Bumgarner and Posey shooting fish in a barrel. The Royals acted like they had taken a double load of meth right in the veins.

Can these guys calm down and play some smart baseball in Game 2?

That's the playoff inexperience disadvantage, Giants rode it to a game 1 win. KC was all geeked up. Let's see if KC can use their advantage to a win. If Yost can't calm these kids down it's gonna be a rout.

If you actually look at some of the AB the Giants hitters had, there was a lot of good hitting there, too.

Went all in on the Royals with my Vcash due to just about every number pointing their direction. Im a vbroke son of a gun now.

Not wise to bet against Bumgarner...

It was interesting to hear how good several Giants have been against pitchers that throw 95MPH and higher. They will definitely be getting the gas from Ventura tonight.

Having been a Giants fan since 61, I waited a long time to see them win a ring. Of course I hope they win another, this series also.
I tip my cap to the Royals, for getting there also. No one gave them much of a chance to even make it as a wild card. Good job and great season K.C. (had 4 KC players on my fantasy team)
Lets hope for a good series.

Go Giants!!!

Seeing as that is the general strategy of the Giants as well, I guess we have a Hacktastic Fall Classic?

The KC postseason win streak was bound to end....and boy did it....Yikes!!
Now that they've got that stinker out of their system....
......here's to wishing they take game 2, and heading out here tied 1-1
:suds:

Tonight's game will be much more nerve-racking. Peavey is a solid pitcher, for sure, but he is no Bum. He is much more inconsistent.

As for Ventura, the Giants tend to hit fireballers well. They struggle against junkers.

I am certainly nervous about tonight, though. Could be a momentum changer.

Maybe. If the Giants win Game 2, people will forget about the Royals like that Rockies team that got hot awhile back and then got swept

The pitching match-up tonight will be much more unpredictable than last night.

Tonight is a must win for the Royals.

If they don't jump on Peavy and win this game, I'll lose most of my interest.

I'm going to go lay a vBet on the Giants right now. And just to prove I'm tired of fucking around, I'm going to shoot the wad. That's right. Everything.

v$25 on the Giants, bitches!

I'm comfortable with Peavy in this one. He's a veteran and I like that he has recent experience pitching in the American League. Plus, if he stumbles, we always have Yusmeiro Petit to bail him out. Peavy's leash will not be long. Bochy is too good of a manager to let things get out of hand with Peavy.
