Royals are a DAMNED good team. They should be back in the post season next year, barring a collection of injuries. Speed and defense do not slump.

Giants will be fielding a VERY different team next year. This off-season will be very interesting.

We don't have the ability to retain players for giggles- so I doubt this, otherwise I would agree. It'll be nice to open up the DH spot for Perez so we don't have the utter and total disaster that he was in the 2nd half after a phenomenal 1st half; but a rotation of Ventura, Duffy, Vargas, Guthrie, and Finnegan should scare absolutely nobody. Unless Hosmer and Moustakas "magically" figure it out on offense, this looks like a painfully mediocre team for the next few years.

It may make more sense to trade Holland and use the money that's freed up to get a FA in addition to the trade haul, but I digress. Lot of problems with the roster that health and a very mean spirited form of regression (Looking directly at Cain's babip; I pray his xBabip is still at least 350 from when I last saw it) are going to wreak havoc on.

Speed and defense don't slump, but horrid hitting, perpetually in a "slump," will put speed and defense to sleep.

I think the Royals will be a top 5 AL team next year barring some weird changes. Most of their young pitchers should get better.

If they Giants lose Pandaval then they might have some issues. They'll look different, thats for sure.

Both teams are going to have a hard time beating the Dodgers and the Tigers in the regular season so there is that, too.

SportsHoopla was able to get this exclusive video. It's kinda long but it's Boch during all 7 games of the World Series.

BTW, the Padres called and they want Bochy back after a reasonable celebratory period. Next week would be fine.

We have been there. Losing a Game 7 hurts.

I understand you cant like it now, but when you are ready, PLEASE realize that you had a great team that was LOADS of fun to watch.

A wild & crazy series it was....

• each team had a 1 run (3-2) win..... (SF game 7) ( KC game 3)

• each team had a win when scoring 7 runs.... (SF 7-1 in gm1) ( KC 7-2 in gm 2)

• each team had a win when scoring 10+ runs.... ( SF 11 runs in gm 4) ( KC 10 runs in gm 6)

• both teams were shutout once...( SF in gm 6) ( KC in gm 5)

Oh, I do. I never expected for them to make it this far and I can honestly say the last two seasons are the most fun I've had watching baseball since I was a kid. And I'm already looking forward to next year... mostly I just want this hangover to go away. :suds: *and thanks for the kind words

That game 7 was a classic. The rest of the series was uneven but...you take that to get a classic Game 7

Just thankful we finally won a WS Game 7. The teams were pretty even; we just happened to have Bum. We could've easily lost. I'm still amazed that Bochy left Bum in there to face Perez. How cruel would that have been if Bum wound up being the Game 7 loser after all he had done? I was thinking that Bochy would bring in Casilla for the righty on righty matchup.

Remember the scared-to-death Chevy guy handing the keys to Bumgarner? Neither do I because I couldn't stomach the celebration but I saw a clip of it.

Anyway...

Chevy Guy made Erin Andrews more nervous than he was. You could tell she was planning on what to do if he flat-out panicked.
