This was fun guys but this was an easy battle to win. U guys had no chance in this argument. Good luck not making the playoffs again and paying your QB all that money to go 8-8. LOL

All I know is if Kap had played for the Cowboys the last couple years, we wouldn't even have sniffed an 8-8 record.

Atleast you cant call us Bandwagon fans. (although we often hear that anyways)

I know u guys would of won 10+ games and would of made it to the playoffs.

Cowboy fans the most clueless football fans ever. Have fun with Tony "Choke" Romo. Have fun paying him all that money for nothing. Kap has already done more then Romo and he has only been starting for 1 1/2 years. LOL No wonder they are pissed, they are still looking for a QB after all these years. I would hate when another team signed or re signed a Top 10 QB.

than THAN THAN!

I know u guys would of won 10+ games and would of made it to the playoffs.

have HAVE HAVE! :L

Wouldn't it be nice if Wilson signed for less? Probably wont happen, but man the irony.

I keep reading how Kap has had his defense in the playoffs and SB to help him. I would like to point out that Kap is the reason we beat Green Bay 2 years ago, the reason we beat Atlanta that year as well, and the reason we came back in the SB against the Ravens. The defense did not show up for those games at all. This year against the Seahawks, kap was the reason we were in that game offensively. The defense showed up, but on offense Kap was the only one doing a thing.

Now, winning the SB is hard. Getting to the plaoffs is hard, ask the browns, lions, cowboys, jags, and the list goes on. Kap has things to work on for sure, but look what he has accomplished so far. You can't argue with his results. He wins games. He has 1.5 years as a starter, and he is a nightmare for teams to play against.

At the end of the day, Harbaugh knows more about QBs than any of us do. I trust his decisions on Kap, and I trust what I have seen from him on the field. He's a young QB who was raw coming out of college, who had things to work on. IF, and that's the question here, IF, he starts getting through his progressions better, he will be more than worth the contract. Look what he has accomplished with out being a polished passer.

purguy12, you really need to chime in here on the general board more often. I must say it has been a pleasure.

49ers are screwing up the market with this massive contract.

Yeah, cause paying guys like Flacco, Stafford, Romo, and Cutler $18 million+ a year didn't screw the market up. Nope, this is the one that did it.

It's true, the Niners' defense faded late in the season and in the playoffs two years ago. Kaep carried them in that postseason run. Last season, the defense was good in the playoffs, but our running game couldn't get anything going against Seattle besides Kaep himself and Kaep made too many mistakes late. The money is fair, IMO. With the salary cap going up, the Niners will still have plenty of money to sign people.

I think he's busy watching the A's come back from a 0-4 deficit vs. the Yanks.

I agree completely. Kap was the reason we were in that game, and then he choked it away in the 4th. He is a young kid who is still learning. It's a lot of money, but the upside could be huge.
