When the defense and your teammates give him nothing play after play after play, do you expect him to just take loss after loss and not fight it? In the position he's in, if he takes no risks, they are last in the league in offense and probably 0-16.

They have a bad head coach, worse coordinators, and very little talent on either side of the ball. At that point the competitor he is takes risks, even some bad ones, because he can't make the team worse than the winless team they should be, so any move at all is up. Put actual talent and a gameplan around him and the risks drop heavily.

This whole comparison is absurd. How many players on the Redskins would start for the Niners? 2? Just Garcon?

I don't get it. That's your subjective opinion, which has nothing to do with this poll.

If the 49ers didn't have an excellent D, no one would even know about Kaepernick. Like Brees, he's a system QB - remove him from the system, he's nothing but a Dolphins-cap-wearing ugly-as-shit arrogant dickhead.

And those risks may cost him his career.

Lots of great QBs have been drafted to bad teams and have to take their lumps. But what do they always say when they finally grow and come out of it? "When I was younger I was just trying to do too much. Eventually I had to learn to just take what the defense was giving me" That's how you make an organization better, by being a steady hand.

They're both absurdly over-rated but a year from now, no one will ever remember Kaepernick except for his Lebanese schnoz. RG3 has about about 6 months more shelflife than Kaepernick, but neither have a future in this league.

Remember the Titans? Not me.

The physical risks might. That needs fixed. The football risks are the only way for the team to be competitive in any game. As the team becomes capable of moving the ball without forced plays, Griffin will stop forcing them. Without griffin taking the risks he has, the redskins wouldn't have won a game yet.

Is bringing up the dolphins hat thing relevant? I thought this thread is about who has the higher ceiling. Not about who is an arrogant dickhead with a Lebanese schnoz.

The football risks lead to physical risks. And they lose more games than they win. Big plays are great when they are there but dont force them so much. A couple times a game if the rest of the team is struggling? Sure... But on every possession? No...

The better QBs in the NFL dont just start trying to make big plays when they get down and need to make up ground. If it's late in the fourth? Sure, but even then they're working the sidelines and inching downfield on most plays. But throughout a game in which they are down they understand that they have to keep their composure and take opportunities as they are presented.

His team is going to be bad for a while. So he needs to spend more time working with his receivers to develop trust. Whether they are good or not is truly irrelevant. They are what he has, all he can control is how effective they can be together.

I didn't think bringing up Locker would be a very pleasant thought so I spared you.

Equally as relevant and very Breaker99-ish. All you need is a :laugh3: smiley and you're there.

This is about Kaepernick or RG3 and so far 100% of objective posters in this thread have chosen RG3.

Kaepernick's pie-in-the-sky dog 'n pony show was over before it began.

Think of it as a trading places scenario.

Ive learned to stop using facts and statistics to defend QBs after having half of a board tell me that Kellen Clemens is a better QB than Sam Bradford

It is nothing but total speculation to say anything on this debate less than two seasons into them both being starters.

Who will be the Redskins coach next year? What will theybdinwithout the cap penalty? How can Kap do without half his weapons injured? Both have a ton of skill and have shown that they can do ridiculous things and win games almost by themselves. They both have looked very much like 2nd year starters as well.

I'm excited to see them both moving forward.
