I only really watch him play one game. The USC vs texASS. USC had a very bad Oline but that kid, that should have been playing at his HS, senior year, looked good.

If he's eligible, he will start. Newman not in the same ball park as Daniels, talent wise.

UGA has a good Oline and RB's. If WR play is better. UGA will be deadly. The only question marks I had for UGA going into the season, is QB and WR. A healthy Daniels, with the squad UGA has, could easily be the best in the SEC.

Sorry not at all sold on Newman.

Pretty dumb statement considering the last 3 Heisman trophy winners transferred. And one of the favorites this season was also a transfer.

The difference there was two of them transferred to the Big 12. I'm pretty sure my dog could throw for 4,000 yards there. Burrow was a transfer, but that was just a crazy weird thing, since he went from being mediocre to great over a summer. I don't know if it was Brady or if they found something better than ostarine down there in the Bayou, but that's not a regular occurrence. 99% of transfers just aren't that good. Kelly Bryant is a pretty good example. He looked okay with Clemson's talent, much better than Daniels (some idiots even had him as a Heisman contender), but he transferred away and we saw his real talent. Or if you want high ranked kids who transferred, look at Hunter Johnson or Martell. I watch a good bit of USC because some of my closest friends are grads there. I do think Slovis is good. But I don't know how anyone can actually watch Daniels and think he's elite and will excel in the SEC.

Wow. Good thing he never got hurt. Fair enough.
I don’t think it would have really made a difference if he got hurt. Our receiving group last year was a grad transfer that couldn’t stay on the field, two true freshmen and two guys that couldn’t catch. Should be massively improved this year though.

USC fans were sad when we lost Daniels for the year. We didn't know what we had in Slovis. I don;t know how you can watch a QB who was supposed to be playing his senior year in High School behind a bad Oline and say he can't be good. USC had a bad season but Daniels wasn't the reason.

Plus Stetson Bennett can sling it. Might be a little reckless at times, but Fromm was a little too cautious at times IMO

That can be a problem! Need some gunslinger mentality with a short memory...at least until it comes to the point where the QB forgets which color his team is wearing.

If Fromm has a big tall receiver like Javon Wims or Lawrence Cager who can make the sideline grabs, Fromm would let them make the contested catch, but the best receiver Fromm had is George Pickens, and if he wasn’t wide open, he wouldn’t get the target despite his hand skills.

I think George Pickens is the best receiver we’ve had since AJ Green. I think he along with Mookie Blaylock’s son will be one of the best duos in the SEC this year. They both played more than a true freshman receiver should last year, and both rose to the occasion when Fromm would let them

Didn't know that. Didn't even think you were old enough to remember Mookie.

I don’t, I’ve heard the name, but it was mentioned by the announcers nearly every time Dominick caught a pass, much like they did anytime Elijah Holyfield carries the ball, they’d mention he is Evanser’s son

When a player transfers it usually means he ain't good enough to start............ain't gonna be any different at Jawja for him.

I might of transferred to Oklahoma. A better situation there for him.

The B12 had nothing to do with Mayfield and Murray being good. They are good. #1 NFL draft, 30 million guaranteed good. By your standard, Sunshine's no good because he plays in the weak ACC. Yet, we know that's not true ... he's really good. So were Mayfield, Murray and Burrow. To discount Burrow going from mediocre to great over the summer is the point ... QBs can do well when the transfer into programs in which they can flourish with better supporting casts and coaching.

While I do agree that more QBs don't do well when they transfer, there is an ample sample size to indicate that the good ones can flourish in the right environment. Aside from the ones above, you have Cam Newton, Russell Wilson, Ryan Mallet, Jake Coker, Nick Marshall, Nick Foles, Jacoby Brissett, Jacob Eason, and if we want to go further back Troy Aikman, Jeff George, Scott Frost, Garrett Gilbert, etc.

The jury is certainly out on Newman and Daniels, but Newman was pretty damn good for Wake, of all teams, and will have a huge upgrade in talent around him. And all we've seen of Daniels was a decent freshman year on a team in disarray, and a fantastic game 1 when he got injured. He, too, will have a better team around him. I can't imagine you've studied enough film to write him off as you have. We'll find out, as his first start at UGA will likely be against your team.

Where QBs want to start early and get to the NFL quickly, the days of QBs waiting is over. Good QBs will transfer. Some will not find better situations, but many will. Taking 2 good ones like UGA has done seems to be a good idea, especially then backing them up with good high school guys as we have.

That’s big actually. Our QB situation is now better than it was last season, and I didn’t think that would be the case at all.

I'm taking him over Newman TBH. Unless the UGA offense is going to have a bunch of designed QB runs, Daniels should be the choice IMO.

Monkin is the new OC, and given his history, we’re probably gonna go for a more pass friendly offense, especially since our group of receivers should be much better than what we had last season. Daniels is the odds on favorite IMO

You paid good money for him.
