Devin Booker has started to become the Suns' franchise player. But with the arrival of a talent in Josh Jackson, do you think Jackson will take the franchise on his back? How will the 2 co-exist? Do you think it will work? Not to mention, both are 20 years young.

How will it work?

They play entirely different games. As for taking the team on his back, Suns fans better hope not. Basketball is a team game and both are highly talented players. They need to work together. I believe they will do that well, but it will take time.

Have you ever watched them? They have entirely different skill sets. One is a highly skilled shooter/scorer, and the other is a versatile super athletic slasher.

Haven't watched much of Jackson.

Those skill sets would most probably compliment each other.
But does Booker have consistent shooting?

Not really. Career 42% shooter. Not terrible, not impressive. Volume shooter.

His percentages don't match his actual skill as a pure shooter. His stroke is a thing of beauty. Many shooters struggle with percentages their first couple years, but that is more about shot selection than anything else.

Booker would be wise to stay away from that trouble maker

Jackson is a true swing and Booker is more of a 2. I could absolutely see them coexisting together if they both develop.

I honestly think they are perfect compliments to each other. Booker has the potential to be an elite offensive player and Jackson has the potential to be an elite defensive player.

There's no reason why they shouldn't be able co-exist/work well together, and until Jackson proves himself on the NBA stage it's still Booker's team.

How is this even a question? Booker is a combo guard. Jackson is a prototypical wing. Of course they can play together

Well, he's had the exact same shooting percentage over each of two full seasons. If you're blaming it on shot selection, he's not improving in that category either.

Combo guard? He averaged 1 asst/game in college and 3 in the NBA. That might be stretching it a bit, and likely a result of Bledsoe being more of a combo guard than a true point.

There are plenty of factors. Shot selection being one.

Anybody who has watched him shoot a basketball can tell you he is an excellent shooter. At Kentucky, he was asked to be a catch and shoot guy and his percentages were great. In Phoenix, he has had to create his own shot a lot more and his percentages have suffered as a result. But, yes, Booker is the best young shooter in the league. I predict that he will win a 3 point contest someday.

He definitely needs a better PG beside him, instead of an undersized SG.

I definitely agree with that.

Not sure how good Ulis really is, but at least he is more of a true PG who can create for teammates.

There's no reason he can't play both. You ever hear Calipari talk about him? He's got the skill set to do it. Plus, you're pickings nits. There's no reason at all why Jackson and Booker can't play together.
