after his ridiculous start last year...from june 1st 2012 until this june.....a whole year if you dont grasp that blade he has hit .232 , 30hrs , 89 rbis, 57 bb, 181 k's

yeah he didnt forget how to hit at all.......oh well at least he still played hard in the field

how yeah thats right he didnt do that either....thats why he lazily went after a fly ball in the last game of the season with the division on the line and dropped hit

blade you are so wrong on this....he quit on the rangers and forgot how to hit

With the exception of Big D there seems to be a sincere lack of sympathy, compassion and understanding exhibited on this thread. Don't you guys have a dog to kick?

You're from the valley and you're an Angels fan. No one cares about your baseball opinions.

Well, at least you aren't emotionally involved and bitter, so you got that going for you.

I freely admit to both. I dislike Josh Hamilton more than I ever disliked that little dickhead Ozzie Smith.

I'm not going to lie, I would take that line from a hitter. Perhaps not at Hamilton's price tag, but that's a hitter I would be just fine having in my lineup.

With the obvious exception of the HRs, there are players on the Padres doing that for $750k.

I agree, i like having this type of player on my team... the only problem is when you have more than one of these players on your team.. It quickly becomes a HR or nothing offense, and the better pitching faced the more often the nothing happens...

Quit making fun of the Reds.

I'd like that from my #6 or #7 hitter.

Not the guy who is supposed to be #3 or #4 and pulling $20MM a year.

No shit. Sadly, a player with those stats would be the team MVP on the Mariners.

Maybe on offense, but I'd give my left nut for King Felix on my team! :)

Yeah, KF is the undisputed Man on the Marinerds, but I've never liked a pitcher associated with the MVP. Catchers are never considered for the CY Young Award even though a good catcher can make a huge impact on a pitching staff. KF is the Mariner Cy. The Mariner MVP is Kendry Morales.

Dear Josh Hamilton and wife.
The reason God told you to sign with the Angels is because He is a Rangers fan and was sick of your drama like the rest of us.

not bitter at all blade......just telling the facts that we rangers fans saw with our own eyes

any fan that keeps up with his team can tell when guys arent giving it their all.....

glad he is gone .....was all for signing him before the last 3 months of the season...then he just quit playing hard and started swinging at every pitch

the final game against the orioles i believe he was like 0-4 and only saw 8 pitches the whole game

This thread is getting kind of disjointed. And, though nobody asked, let me see if I can summerize and opine at the same time.

1) Money is not everything. Until you don't have enough to live on. Then, it is everything.

Does that pretty well take care of this?

Could not have said it better, especially point number 1

Why IN THE WORLD does Scioscia have a braindead .211 hitter in the 2-hole with Callasp, Aybar, Burjous, Conger and Kendrick spread out from 5-9??? Hamilton is the obvious 9-hole and then can be moved up if/when he comes alive. And don't say cause Pujols is providing protection, cause he's not!

Pujols is starting to heat up a bit but I agree they really should have someone else in the two hole. Provide more speed at the top with Trout too. More chances for Pujols with men in scoring position and possibly off of 1B to avoid that DP.

By "heating up" you mean batting .250 or better.
