I've read a few things on Josh... my honest opinion? i hope he stays ok... i know people who struggle with addiction but none as publically and openly as Josh has to deal with. He is a talent, but he is an addict. I truly wish the best for him.

Yeah, I really don't wish him that pain. I wish he'd leave baseball and go deal with his shit. Because as a baseball player I full-fledged hate him. And I despise his pretentious, tatted type too. But I don't wish a drug relapse on anyone.

Am I the only guy that NEVER wants a guy to just tough out an injury or illness? Sure, your teammates may look at you better by doing it, and the odd, random person might as well as they hear about it.

But, as a fantasy owner, I want much more honesty and transparency. Why do I bring this up here?



Josh Hamilton left last night’s game in seventh inning and afterward manager Mike Scioscia told reporters he was “a little lightheaded.”
Hamilton clarified things this morning, telling Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times: “I was not lightheaded. I was just sick.” In fact, according to Hamilton he’s been playing through an illness for the past 10 days and has been taking antibiotics since Saturday.
Hamilton has hit .200 with 10 strikeouts during the past 10 days, although he does have two homers and four doubles for a solid .486 slugging percentage. He was slugging below .300 before the sickness started.

It might work. It's worked for a lot of other great hitters who couldn't shake a slump. Hamilton's problems are in his head. He didn't just forget how to hit over the winter. I know that you Ranger fans all want him to fail, and maybe his slump will last all year. But, he's going to hit again. He isn't done yet.

So he either quit or he forgot how to hit. I'm sure Ranger fans would like to believe he did both, as well as cause global warming, 9/11, and the extinction of the dinosaurs.

But the reality is that it is very doubtful that he quit AND forgot how to hit.
