As far as the charts, I said it wasn't even, but it was far less then the 90/10 Jordan stated.

This is why I question your reading comprehension turnup. Jordan said that he would push Lebron left because, when he goes left, 9 out of 10 times he takes a jumper. It may not be that high, but based on the shot chart you linked, he takes more jumpers on the left side of the floor. The shot chart also showed that he gets slightly more shots on the right side of the rim as opposed to the left. However, what we can't tell from the shot chart is what scenario led to each individual shot. The point is Jordan didn't claim that, of Lebron's jumpshots, 90% come from the left side.

i can respect that. thing where i was coming from that MJ did way too well as far as the basics went. and it isn't like MJ wasn't athletic. lol guess that's why we debate these things. would've been fun to see 'em(AND Kobe) going at each other in their primes...

if anyone could beat a man bigger than them, it was Jordan. Jordan was a better scorer than LeBron. but I would love to see the matchup. LeBron's game is more like magic's than Michael. kobe reminds me the most of Jordan of the current group of players. I am curious to see what the Achilles has done to his game. supposedly once it's surgically repaired you just need to rehab muscles and it's good as new.

well, one can certainly hope. honestly with Kobe's age and the wear and tear he's put on his body he's definitely towards the end of his career, but even at that(even if you go off of last season) he can DEFNITELY be productive. would hate to see the guy's career go out with an injury, but it DOES happen. anyways, gonna check out tonight's game against Golden State. finally some NBA ball lol...

Can't. I got banned for calling some sensitive clown a "yo-yo"!

Can you imagine the nerve????

I get it. You know your team pretty much sucks.
You want to live in denial and circle jerk each other with hope.
You have it down to a science.
Maybe we will over achieve this year? Or, if not, maybe we will sign a FA next year, or if not, maybe the year after that.
It's great stuff!

Sports threads (not that you would know) are for sports discussion.

Sorry if I you guys don't want World Hates Lakers WC champions prediction to be ridiculed!

You were more likely banned because you didn't come on to talk basketball. You came on simply to be an asshole. We were discussing, or circle jerking as you call it, Lakers basketball. Retro mentioned Artest's quote (it was Lakers related right?). Ridicule it all you like. I did. The thing is, you thought Retro agreed with it (lack of reading comprehension showing itself again) and started to be a dick about it. I miss you there. You are easy to make look foolish.

hell, i've always thought so. what's funny is he actually thinks he's smarter than everybody else and is actually winning all these debates. really it's become WAY too easy these days...

The achilles has healed well. It's a matter of getting everything around it solid as you say. He was taking shots off his tip toes before he jetted off to Germany. It will be quite the comeback if he is able to play again at a high level and stay healthy. The achilles is such a highly used tendon that it will have to hold up to an extreme level of stress. I still think him coming out and knocking down those two free throws was one of the gutsiest things I've seen. The Lakers needed them. That was a must win game.

the ability to ignore pain is easily one of Kobe's more amazing abilities imo. some of the injuries he's been through would've EASILY sidelined a lesser player...

his man card has definitely been validated for life after that. dude can take pain. nobody on the planet would have blamed him for not going out there to shoot.

I honestly would give the edge to LeBron because he is so much bigger and stronger than Jordan was. one on one I would take guys like shaq to beat LeBron. 1 on 1 basketball is a lot different than 5 on 5. size matters so much. I could see LeBron backing Jordan down a lot and getting much better looks than Jordan would get.

but who is the greatest player ive ever seen? Jordan.. and it's not close.

World Peace said MJ is just as strong. You would be taking LeBron's greatest skill in passing away if he has no teammates.

I think Lebron could easily average 30 if he focused more on scoring. He's very tough to contain.

Second 3-peat MJ was stronger than first 3-peat MJ. I think Jordan's prime was more so the first 3-peat. He was by no means a weakling though!

Jordan will destroy Lebron are you kidding not only will Jordan get in his head but he will just school him one on one it's common sense. Theres alot of young generation that love Lebron but never saw MJ play only you tube highlights I grew up watching MJ & i hated MJ but that man was on another planet...FACT

Kobe really i believe will play Jordan one on one much better both in their primes because of the same competitive nature that's in their blood...lets not forget how Kobe chewed out Lebron 2 years ago for not taking the final shot in the all star game...that shows his not a killer like MJ or Kobe..no way
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61VUdYBvgz8

Besides Lebron would shit in his pants the minute he hears MJ's introduction song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYFlzJyxWlw

I don't want to hear that LeBron is bigger and stronger (which he is). LeBron is going to retire as one of the five greatest players ever. But one-on-one? His skills aren't Jordan's skills. Jordan was a better shooter, from deep or midrange, had an almost hypnotic control of the basketball in space or when guarded and had the best footwork of any perimeter player ever. Add in the facts that Jordan got better as the pressure got higher as well as being able to get into other players heads, it is Jordan...

After 10 years in the league:

Michael Jordan – (3 NBA Finals – 17 games): 36.0ppg, 53.06 FG%, 7.2rpg, 8.06apg, 2.06spg, 0.8bpg, 44.3 3PT %, 81.1 FT%

LeBron James – (4 NBA Finals – 22 games): 23.2ppg, 43.8 FG%, 9.0rpg, 7.0apg, 1.72spg, 0.59bpg, 26.5 3PT %, 72.7% FT

In the NBA Finals after their first 10 years Jordan has higher: scoring, FG%, 3PT%, FT% and assist averages, as well as having played better, more consistent defence. LeBron has the advantage when it pertains to rebounding.

Jordan faced the: 5th, 3rd and 9th best defence in the NBA, on average that’s the 5.6th best defence in the league.

LeBron faced the: 2nd, 8th, 11th and 3rd best defence in the NBA, on average that’s the 6th best defence in the league.

Perimeter defenders and teams in Jordan’s era were allowed to defend much more physically due to being able to hand-check, the absence of the 3 second rule etc.

Additionally MJ matched up against Magic and Drexler in 91 and 92 respectively, both of whom finished second in MVP voting that year (due to MJ winning MVP). In 93 MJ faced (but didn’t match up against) Charles Barkley, who won MVP that year (MJ finished third behind Hakeem).

In 2007 Duncan finished 4th in MVP voting and Parker finished 15th, in 2011 Dirk finished 6th in MVP voting, in 2012 Durant finished 2nd (LeBron won MVP and matched up against Durant) and in 2013 Parker finished 6th in MVP voting.

Overall, after 10 years in the NBA, Jordan had dominated the league at a higher level than LeBron from both an offensive and defensive stand point and had raised his level of play in all areas on a more consistent basis in the NBA final better than LeBron had.

Go back and read it. All I said was LOL @ quoting World Hate.
That isn't trolling. That isn't instigating, and it was on topic with the thread.
It was AFTER that post where in reality Laker fans started trolling me which lead to the "yo-yo" comment.

He took it PERSONAL which was the problem, not because I violated any rule.
PROOF is in the pudding today.
A Laker thread is CLEARLY trolled by the person saying the Lakers are better off without Kobe.
Metro has commented on the thread, but is that poster banned from Laker boards?
I might have went on Laker boards and not offered pro Laker opinions, but they were for the most part on topic and basketball related.
And for those of you there that want to harp on the read and comprehend thing, please show me where I said the Lakers would finish 12th!
I said fighting for 8th at best, with more likely a scenario in my mind of landing anywhere from 9-12 depending on injuries, etc.
At this point, there is not much difference between your roster and the Wolves, Pelicans or Blazers IMO.

Funnier yet, a fan base accustomed to playing for championships is carrying on over a preseason game 1 win:lol:.
A game determined by players who for the most part won't even be on rosters or will be the players buried on the bench!

Remember when the regular season meant nothing? Now this?

Ridicule it all you like. I did. The thing is, you thought Retro agreed with it (lack of reading comprehension showing itself again) and started to be a dick about it. I miss you there. You are easy to make look foolish.

Where did I say he agreed with it??
Point is, he posted the comment, and if he wasn't looking for feedback on the comment, then why post it at all?

It was NOTHING but a PERSONAL reaction because I called him a yo-yo.
Period.

Jordan wasn't allowed to be played physical like other perimeter players were. He got the Wayne Gretzky treatment starting the 1990-1991. Like Magic Johnson said in that video while getting the dream team photo in 1992 "don't want to get to close to Michael, a foul will be called."

MJ and Magic's teams did face each other in the 1991 Finals, but that's as far as it went. After the first game Phil assigned Pippen to guard Magic in game 2 after MJ picked up his 2nd foul in the first quarter. Did such a good job that Phil stayed with Pip until they closed out LA in 5 games. Plus Magic accounted for 22TO's after the switch to Pippen.

Plus we both know that Magic wasn't assigned to guard Jordan. So like I said, the teams faced each other but the 2 players did not.

Who is carrying on over last night's game? I saw Lakers fans discussing positives and negatives about the game. That ain't carrying on.

Figure out that MJ quote yet?

Because you say so?
Add something meaningfully?
He quoted World Hate. Is there anything less meaningful then that.
FACT is, my reply was on topic, was thread related, and wasn't antagonistic towards anyone other then World Hate.

There was no major issue until I called him a yo yo.
Again, a Laker board thread was clearly trolled today, nobody got banned, so the zero tolerance excuse is bullshit.

Better go back and re read. Granted, there is nothing wrong with discussing the new players , etc..
What's funny/ pitiful is any discussion or emphasis on whether it was a win or loss.

Figure out that MJ quote yet?[/QUOTE]

The 90% thing?
I figured it out the minute I read it.
It was incorrect and one of the reasons I use in forming my opinion that he is threatened by James.

Don't need to. What most call discussion you call carrying on or circle jerking.

The 90% thing?
I figured it out the minute I read it.

You didn't figure it out though. You think MJ meant that Lebron takes 90% of his jumpshots from the left side. Try again.
