Who else was pleased with Baldwin's performance?

Is there any reason he couldn't earn a starting spot by week 1? Manningham won't be ready yet, and Kyle Williams isn't any good. Patton & Moore look like his toughest competition at this point.

He would have to play much better than he has in his career to beat out either of those other guys. I have never really been impressed with him when he was with the Chiefs.

If the Niners are on the 10 yard line, whom would you rather have at WR? Kyle, Moore, Patton or Baldwin?

For me it's between Pattton & Baldwin. And I'm leanding towards Baldwin because the man can block.

Baldwin actually looked good yesterday. made a couple of not easy catches. Maybe he is one of those people who cant make the easy catch but can make the tough one. Just like Walker was for us.

Baldwin drops too many passes for me to want to rely on him in that situation, if he improves his hands then I would say him.

Would like to see him going full speed with Prime as the QB throwing him the ball...

Moore dropped a low but catchable pass on the 1st play of the 2nd drive.

That was on Kaep, not Moore...

It was low, but wasn't the ball catchable?

It wasn't a great camera angle (and they didn't re-play it), but it looked like Moore could've gotten it. Didn't it?

To me it didn't look catchable, or at least would have had to have been a diving effort on a short-hop pass by Kaep. It looked like an Alex Smith pass...

(But I haven't re-watched it, just going off memory)

like what I see from him so far. I don't know why KC gave up so soon. AJ 0 catches again.

Just read that in KC's last game....

A.J. Jenkins' debut in a Chiefs uniform was similar to his 49ers days: 0 receptions, 1 target in Kansas City's exhibition Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jenkins, traded Monday from the 49ers in exchange for Jon Baldwin, appeared in 19 snaps (or 24 percent of the Chiefs' offensive plays).

Yep. That sounds about right.

In fairness, he did get open twice and that throw wasn't very good. Plus, little preparation. Still, don't expect anything much.

The only interest most of us have in KC is for that second rounder. For me, I add the interest of Alex Smith starting as long as he can. Therefore, I want them to trade Tyler Bray to us for a 7th rounder. I don't care if it's better for them to keep Bray, because I don't care about them, trade him to us. He has a strong arm, we'd help mature him, he'd have no pressure here, and Harbaugh could coach him up, flip him for 2 second rounders. Hopefully not to KC, though, cause that defeats the purpose slightly. We need to find someone, and this might prove impossible, who is just as helpful as trade partners as KC in the future.
