Why all the hate for Prescott?
For Aikman?
Heck, Staubach had his critics too. The NFC Capital division all hated him too.

But what I'm fairly sure of, the network rolls with what sells.ABC showed that much back in the early 70's.

Cowboys...can't live with um. Can't live without um.
That's a lot of crying. Aikman does a decent job.

My favorite romo moment is still the botched hold. Just hilarious everytime.

I'd laugh but I am worried I will be stuck watching these two and their blatant homoerotic tension for 8 games.

Why all the hate for Romo?

I hate Romo as a commentator. I'm tired of the shtick and was after the first few games. Just let Nantz do the play by play and add a little "color". We don't need him predicting plays every fucking play or trying to be funny or whatever. It's ok to STFU every now and again.

I know it's all a matter of opinion but Aikman/Buck is the best duo in football to me. Good play by play and good color commentary from a guy that knows what he's talking about.

I don't know what happened but Romo went from being a breath of fresh air to sounding less interesting and more stilted. I read that the networks thought he was being too technical and tried to get him to sound more like other broadcasters, which I think has only served to make him more self conscious and scripted.

The best thing about Romo and Aikman being commentators is it irritates the fuck out of Eagles and Deadskins fans.
If that were true then we wouldn’t watch any football at all. I like Aikman. I don’t like Joe Buck. Moose isn’t bad either. I liked early Romo but don’t like what he’s evolved into.

I hope you guys can actually win soon. Look at this bull shit that you’ve been left to celebrate?!?!? All you have left is schadenfreude over imagined disgust over announcers who are former Cowboys. Weird.

EXACTLY!

I don't agree with you often, but I agree with you here.

I thought Greg Olsen did a good job last year.

For the record, I have nothing against Romo or Aikman as commentators, or Moose, even though they were all Cowboys. I also rather liked listening to Nate Newton when I lived in Dallas and he was on the radio. He was a very colorful football commentator. Michael Irvin on the other hand...
