I wasn't for his transfer at 1st, he is basically a better Eligher. With 4 new Olineman starting next year, a BIG, mobile QB will be what we need, the first 4-6 games. We have some great young talent on the Oline and one of the best Oline coaches. But these guys will need a few games to gel. They won't be a Top 5-10 Oline in 2019 but Top 20 by the end of the season.

The great news! We will have 1 AA WR, with Lamb and most likely one or two freshman AA WR.

Wish nothing but the best for that young man. Sure he might not be Murray or Mayfield, but they are not Hurts either. 1st of all hes not a midget... I kid I kid... I see him doing well at OU... Not Murray or Mayfield hiesman good, but I do not think the Sooners will be disappointed.

I thought I heard or read somewhere that Oklahoma was losing a lot of their veterans on the offensive line this year.

I can't even remember the last time OU started a QB that they recruited out of high school.
Austin Kendall started a game this season. Trevor Knight before that and also Cody Thomas (who coincidentally is a pro baseball player now). Before that there was Blake Bell, Landry Jones, Sam Bradford. Murray and Mayfield are the only two transfer starters I can remember.

Correct. Everyone but the center.

The whole OL besides the center. Recruited extremely well on the OL but they will be green going into the season for sure.

I’d trade two for a top 30 defense and a natty out of the last two years.
Child please. You would take the natty and screw the defense.

I think the bigger issue is the OL rebuild. I don’t think Kyler would put up 2018 numbers if he came back. The OL is going to set the ceiling and floor for the offense in 2019, not the QB

What makes OU's system work is their OL. Always have the best OL in the country practically every year.

He isnt the most accurate passer but it’s a lot easier to throw to wide open WR’s. He wont put up the numbers of Mayfield and Murray but Oklahoma will still win games

if we're talking passing alone, Landry Jones put up better numbers than Mayfield and Murray in their 1st full season as starters. If Landry fucking Jones can put up better numbers, I'm quite sure Hurts can as well.

They recruited Kyler Murray in high school :crazy::crazy:
True. One out of two. They didn't recruit Mayfield...but not many D1s did IIRC. That's why he walked on at Tech.

Good for Jalen; smart move. He's been staring down SEC defenses for the better parts of 3 seasons. He should run a muck in the Big 12. It'll be tough to see him don another uniform, but holy shit, imagine the potential for a Tua vs Jalen CFP semi.
