Lawrence looks like a top 16 QB that hasn't reached his ceiling yet. Wilson isn't a top 40 QB at the moment, and this maybe his ceiling. Wilson should be shut down for 2022 and given another chance in preseason 2023.

Wilson has $9.59M in future guarantees. No team should be looking to acquire that contract for a QB who might not even be a #2. At some point the Colts/Redskins/Panthers/Texans will stop over-paying for bad QBs. (Who am I kidding? They're the Jets/Colts/Redskins/Panthers/Texans).

There's no additional cost for the Jets to wait and see to see if Wilson improves in the offseason. meh. I'm probably wrong, and I can at least hope the Seahawks or 49ers do something crazy.

its not about might as well keep him. If he isnt gonna do anything in Jetsville. Might as well get what ever kind of draft capital you can get for him.

Someone always wants to take a chance on draft pedigrees. No matter how bad they were on their original teams. Coaches are too cocky & think they can fix it. So get something for them while you can.
