Amari Cooper (heel) is inactive for Week 17 against the Jets.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Cooper “wasn’t feeling right” in pre-game warmups. Garafolo had previously reported Cooper was expected to play, but that warmups would be the final decider. It’s a big blow for the Browns in a game they have to have vs. a tough Jets pass defense. Cooper’s loss makes a white-hot Joe Flacco an inadvisable streamer for finals week. Cedric Tillman should get more work on the outside with Elijah Moore getting an opportunity to be the Browns’ most-targeted wideout. Joining Cooper on the shelf are LB Anthony Walker, K Dustin Hopkins, P Corey Bojorquez, CB Kahlef Hailassie, DE Ogbo Okoronkwo and C Luke Wypler.

Jets declared WR Allen Lazard, TE Jeremy Ruckert, OL Austin Deculus, DL Carl Lawson, CB Bryce Hall, QB Aaron Rodgers, and QB Zach Wilson inactive for Week 17 against the Browns.
Lazard, recruited by Aaron Rodgers last offseason, has been a healthy scratch in recent weeks as Xavier Gipson takes a more prominent role in the Jets passing offense. This week, Lazard reportedly has an illness. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall combined for 31 targets last week against the Commanders, and profile as the only fantasy relevant Jets.

Cooper being out is a blow to the Browns - he’s by far their top receiver, but I still expect them to win - they have enough offensive talent and have battled through injuries all year and they have a strong defense. It may be a low scoring game though.
