So the PAC went 4-0 against mid-majors

2-4 against P5's

I'm sure they'd rather just talk about being 6-4 overall tho.

Or those of us with a brain simply point out the same shit we do for every one of these attempts at linking an entire conference to anything... :L

I want most of the Pac schools to lose their bowls. Fuck this notion of conf v conf. I won't be made to suffer the ills of any of their losses. It's a made up straw man fallacy and anyone who understands the game knows that.

You can never have enough data to compare any two conferences accurately. The few OOC and bowl games don't come close.

Let the games themselves stand as is. Oregon's loss was the worst example of a team depending on one player I've ever seen at any level of the sport. WV/ASU was two teams that really shouldn't have been in a bowl that played a remarkably even game.

There are way too many bowl games. No team under 8 wins should see one IMO. It's a watered down product that is way too unevenly distributed. No SEC/Pac matchups largely because SEC teams don't travel and their bowls hand pick their opponents.

I hate Oregon but it's interesting how some of you are just dismissing the fact that U of O was up 31-0 and then lost their starting QB and the comeback came thereafter... I doubt TCU comes back if they didn't have their starting QB in the game... He was in street clothes on the sidelines at the beginning of the 2nd half...

Also, the key to this thread's titles is, "Once again" yet what does that mean because the PAC 12 won the most bowl games last year, no?

Meh, I'm still working on my first cup of coffee. No bourbon on my cornflakes for me

I'm on my 3rd cup. About to make some biscuits and sausage gravy for brunch.

Got nothing today but being a fair-weather Chiefs fan.

Hoping for a KC win coupled with a Denver loss so they can win the division.

You are rationalizing and distracting.

TCU was WITHOUT their starting QB the ENTIRE GAME. They were also without their star WR the ENTIRE GAME.

Not rationalizing... Just stating what happened during the game... Starting QB had them up 31-0 then went out... Then they were outscored 47-10 thereafter...

Props to TCU for mounting the comeback...

I dont know why the PAC-12 has such shitty bowl games?

They need to drop all those mid-major snoozers and pick up at least one SEC matchups.
Half their games are versus teams nobody wants to see.

It is possible. The slots are not forever set in stone for lower tier bowl games.
The PAC-12 can be more assertive in negotiating.

So when the playing field was evened out (both down their QB), Oregon got their asses kicked.

Follow the game did you? :L
TCU's starting QB wasn't in the same city at kick off. He was sent home for getting in a bar fight a few days before the game. So they were on their backup QB the entire game. They also lost other 'key' players on offense. It was said they were down to backups of backups at WR. Lost several of their key weapons.

It's an excuse to say they lost just due to losing their QB half way through the game.

OSU beat them last year with their 3rd string QB and entirely destroyed them with him.

It's football. You play with your entire team. Injuries and subs are the norm, particularly late in the season.

Hell, the backup QB was on a table getting cramps worked out between every series as was one of his receivers that was limping all over. It was a hell of a gritty and gutty performance by those backups on TCU's side. They deserve a lot of credit for that win.

The Pac HAS been assertive. Why are so many of you missing the obvious that the SEC just doesn't want any of them?

Remember Oregon lobbying for a couple of years to face Bama? There was a lot of push at the Pac commish office to make bowl games happen. SEC has long standing tie ins and aren't interested in redoing them to bring in Pac teams. Take it up with them.
