As much as we bitch about Rio's and his lack of "perceived" hustle, he's made two very good plays in the field, got a hit and scored tonight.

I read from someone today - national writer I think - he felt there wasn't much of a market for him at this point. But we'll see I suppose.

Wilson had an interesting tweet - says rios was only caught 7times in 49 attempts in 2013, but this year he's been caught 6 times in 14 attempts...yes, he's a year older, but you also wonder if he's tipping off his intentions...

It's the only time he sticks his nose into baseball. He shows up about once every four months.

Agreed.....But that doesn't make him wrong in his assessment with this particular case.

I'm not trying nor wanting to hang JD regardless of how this plays out.

But I surely don't understand how it's anything other than bad business to invest a fortune on a player and not INSIST on him passing every exam/questionnaire/MRI, etc before committing to the ransom.

With you there it was just more that JT only shows up to write the obvious when something big happens with the Rangers and disappears back into Cowboyland.

With his hamstrings - lack thereof - his quickness/lateral movement has taken a toll which will not be returning. What he gets too, he catches and throws like the old EB. But that magnificent range is a memory; albeit, a damn good one.

Glad I'm not the only one that's seen it

Had the argument with several people about who was a better defender last year Beltre or Machado, and I was chastised for not saying Beltre

Thats why sometimes numbers are your friend, sometimes the eye test fails some people, they saw what they wanted to see, not what was actually there

Agree but that was within arms length. He kind of acted spastic on it for some reason.

It's more noticeable this year.
